If you think 6'4 doesn't matter, tell the poor kid, at 6'2 who is trying to defend her. A 6'4 skilled post player can dominate a 6'2 defender.....And then be neutralized by a 6'4 replacement who takes over for the 6'2 kid. Obviously skill and talent is the big issue. And wingspan is a issue. But when things are held constant, yes 6'4 rather than 6'3 really does matter. GO BEAVS!! Agree to disagree. 1" is not significant, especially with so many other factors to consider (quickness, vert, reach, understanding and ability to establish and maintain position, strength, etc).

I've seen photos of her encouraging team mates from the sidelines, and this makes perfect sense from the article: "Last year, Raegan did an incredible job on the sideline cheering for our team. She got a warning from the officials for celebrating too much.”

Great highlight video for her: I am very excited about her ability to create space with her body/strength. There will be some elite bigs that will be able to hold their own against her, but probably not very many.

Could you imagine if Taylor had the ball handling that Ms. Beers displayed? This kid looks amazing.

Let's not lose sight of the fact that these are highlights. They don't show turnovers, missed layups, or offensive fouls. I'm optimistic, but I think I'll hold off on declaring her a sure thing for all conference.

[ Think Hillmon from Michigan who is 6/2. Look what she does to bigger posts because there coaches don’t teach there defensive players to deny the pass by siding or fronting her a smaller player. Point being there are some posts that a better off never backing them. Hill man is so quick once she gets the ball if you are behind her she will blow right by the defender. Proof Louisville second string post fronted Hillmon the whole first half. Michigan couldn’t score but 15 first half points none of which were from Hillmon. Some posts must be denied the ball to begin with. They are to fast for someone 6/4 like Taylor. Taylor would make a very good defender because she is so strong but beavers are giving her this advantage against posts because she plays behind most players. Taylor is doomed to be jockied against the Hillmans in the college ranks. All you’d have to say to Taylor is deny this girl the pass and there go Taylor’s foul problems. She’d be able to use her strengths her length and power to contain anybody.

Good points, Grad. Ball denial should be the first option against an accomplished low post scorer until they prove they can pass over you. If they can, your in trouble without help.
