I'm thinking about all the support staff that work at the White House; cooks, cleaners, etc. Also, the Secret Service officers. I hope they stay safe and healthy.

Apparently, daily or frequent testing is not enough to protect against the virus.

A few others in the White House have now tested positive...this is going to be a long next couple of weeks for the West Wing and for the country.

I remember when Reagan was shot - this isn't yet in the same level, but it hurts and unnerves. My prayers and thoughts for healing.

I remember when Reagan was shot - this isn't yet in the same level, but it hurts and unnerves. My prayers and thoughts for healing. Heck if we are going Wayback machine...I 'member JFK I remember hearing my mom crying...sobbing..., and my brother (4 yrs old..Me..5 years old) and I running to the living room to see what was wrong. Surreal moments ETCHED into my brain. My dad had called her from work, and told her about it. She turned on the TV. Sobering. Prayers for all concerned.

I remember when Reagan was shot - this isn't yet in the same level, but it hurts and unnerves. My prayers and thoughts for healing. I was in 7th grade when Reagan was shot. We were watching a documentary when Principal LeSage burst in our classroom and said that the President had be shot. One of the kids in our class turned absolutely white: his dad was a cop and was President of the School Board; his first thought was of his father. Fortunately we all figured it out quickly and our teacher turned off the documentary and turned on the news...

I was in HS geometry class when JFK was shot. Our teacher was always upbeat, positive motivational who always seemed to have fun teaching us when the intercom came on with the radio feed. He stood for a couple minutes listening with us, then sat at his desk, put his forehead in his hands and was crying. You could always tell by the way the clock clicked, it was end of period. He was standing at the door. As we slowly filed out, he touched everyone of us and we touched him back. No one spoke. Best teaching moment ever.

How will this affect recruiting? Where is Al Haig when we need him?

How will this affect recruiting? Where is Al Haig when we need him? That's exactly what I thought when I heard a discussion about Trump signing over power.

How will this affect recruiting? Where is Al Haig when we need him? What a friggin’ mess that was. Comical, now. Scary, then.

Scary? Comical? The President damn near died. If a rib hadn't deflected the bullet, it would have been a heart shot. The VP was out of town. Our nation was in crisis and vulnerable. General Haig, the Chief of Staff, stepped up to take charge of response and operations until the return of the VP. Guarantee you, in our time of vulnerability, no foreign power was going to f**k with us when Al Haig was in charge. Like him or not, we should all be grateful he did. In a time of crisis, General Alexander Haig stepped up and served our country well. End of sermon.
