CLASS OF 2023: OREGON STATE HAS A COMMITMENT FROM A WASHINGTON MIDDLE INFIELDER

The Beavs pick up the 3rd MIF in the 2023 recruiting class - this time it's Reeve Boyd, a 6'1" 175 pound SS from Seattle Prep. Boyd plays shortstop but has also played 2B offering some position versatility. Boyd plays summer ball with the City Baseball Showcase Team made up of 18u prospects in the Seattle area. He is a product of the Seattle City Baseball Academy, where he trains year around. Lots of upside according to his coaches.
Reports show good range, strong arm and a playmaker on tough chances in the field. A proficient hitter with developing power. Has 7.11 speed in the 60. His 97 mph exit velo ranks in the 97th percentile for his class. He recently made the All Tournament Team in the Perfect Game Freshman MLK West championships in Phoenix.
Reeve has a 3.79 GPA at Prep and plans on a Mathematics major at OSU.
Good size, good arm, good bat, good prospect.
