I remember going nuts at that game. Three 60+ yards scoring plays and the the Doctor making a house call.

As I recall it was 30 degrees at game time on a cold November night. We enjoyed watching it on our 70 inch HDTV next to a nice fire. One of the very, very few games we missed in person in the last 4 decades.

Anyway, I would have gone but the wifey said NWIH. We could SEE ice crystals in the air. Eldest grandson spilled a little hot cocoa, and within half an hour, it was FROZEN... ALWAYS listen to the wifey!!

I remember going nuts at that game. Three 60+ yards scoring plays and the the Doctor making a house call. In other depressing news: It has been 2,140 days (5 years, 10 months and 9 days) since Oregon State last beat a ranked opponent. 2,140 days before the Arizona State win was January 5, 2009, five days after Oregon State's win in the 2008 Sun Bowl over #19 Pittsburgh. Wins over ranked teams in that time period? Seven. 2,140 days before the 2008 Sun Bowl was February 21, 2003, the day after Mike Riley was hired to replace Dennis Erickson. Wins over ranked teams in that time period? Seven. 2,140 days before Mike Riley's second hiring was April 12, 1997, the second day of Spring Ball under Mike Riley. Wins over ranked teams in that time period? Six. Oregon Stat has gone 1/2 of Riley's second stint and 1/3 of Riley-Erickson-Riley without a win over a ranked opponent. I should point out that the previous 2,140 days encompass Jerry Pettibone's six years. He had one win over a ranked opponent. The previous 2,140 days days encompass Dave Kragthorpe's six years. He had one win over a ranked opponent. Dark times. Hopefully, this is Oregon State's year.

One of the very, very few games we missed in person in the last 4 decades. Weather at kickoff was 34 degrees, and the wind chill was 27. The wind died down, but it got down to 25 degrees by the end of the game. It's that fourth hour of sitting in sub-freezing temperatures that really gets you. Just ask Arizona State.
