The United States Senate UNAMINOUSLY passed renaming the Bend, OR VA facility after Robert D, Maxwell. When he passed last year at age 98 he was the nation's oldest Medal of Honor recipient. After the war, he became a teacher. When he allegedly "retired" he tirelessly remained active in local affairs, veterans, education, and many other things. If you wanted him to be involved, make an appearance, he was there. Not only that, Bob was a kind, gentle man who always greeted you warmly. The House has yet to address this. Let's get this done. Oregon's delegation is all over this. Help them out. The world is a better place because Bob Maxwell walked in it.

Yesterday, the House passed the bill. I don't know if the President has to sign it, but it looks like a done deal.

Yesterday, the House passed the bill. I don't know if the President has to sign it, but it looks like a done deal. Trump still has to sign it. He also has a Native American protection bill and LGBTQ and veteran suicide-prevention bills, also on his desk. Plus, the election. We shall see. |
