From an economic standpoint, Rueck making $800K is the ridiculous salary. At least Men’s BB makes money.

I’m going to ask, because I don’t know.... duh. HOW does one “rename” a link? I used to know. Thanks.

The quick reply doesn't offer the option, but if you edit or do a standard reply, you can the option. It's the tool bar above the post, and icon looks like a globe with paper. Clicking on it says "create link", where you can give it a name and then enter the URL. That will then embed it in your post with the Name you gave it only shown.

From OSU Athletic Department economic standpoint, his salary makes sense because that cost is market driven. I get what you are saying, but he's still worth it.

Yes, WBB loses money, but I suspect that they would be losing a lot more if they didn't have such a good team year-in and year-out under Rueck.

Personally, I think all of the coaching salaries are out of control. We shall see if the pandemic reels them in a little bit.

I get what you are saying, but he's still worth it. Scott doesn't want to go anywhere else. He would have stayed here for half that salary.

I've been hoping that Covid would reel in a fair number of things...even things I never thought of reeling in. It will be interesting to see if the new "normal" is any different than the old "normal." Agreed on coaching salaries. Alarming how many states have a head college football coach as their highest paid public employee.

It will do not good for OSU to draw a line in the sand if coaching candidates can go elsewhere. Given that, control of coaching salaries would require regulation on a national level.
