You want to see a pair of the sandals, go to the High Desert Museum south of Bend. The whole place is well worth the admission and a few hours of your time. There used to be a pair of those in the Horner Museum in the basement of Gill. What ever happened to all the artifacts they had? I remember that place when I was a young lad. They brought us from out in the sticks and it was part of our field trip along with Avery Park to see the bears and a picnic. |
