It’s a simple question that I feel is warranted for such a grotesque accusation.
Who are the sources? Where is the verifiable evidence?

It’s a simple question that I feel is warranted for such a grotesque accusation. Who are the sources? Where is the verifiable evidence? You really think it's all made-up out of thin air? As noted above, it's been verified by multiple news outlets including the Associated Press, The Washington Post and Fox News. Considering how vengeful and impulsive the guy is who made the statements and the power he currently holds I don't blame the witnesses/sources for choosing to remain anonymous.

It’s another attempt to slander the man. Nothing more. Here’s the response from the White House at about 50 minutes in.

You come back with that. For Flattail and Spud - I'm not going to pretend I'm some kind of expert here on journalism. I pay attention to what's going in the world sometimes. But you both know that the "multiple sources" want to remain unnamed and you are not stupid. I'm sure some want to be unnamed because they still work in the administration and the others want people to know the truth but don't want trumpitos marching at their door. I do know that almost all the Watergate stories were published with anonymous sources. Without these sources you can not ever get to the truth. When someone like the President is on twitter many hours a day trying to intimidate it creates a horrible climate and I understand why someone doesnt want their name published as the source. There is one named person (you will have to look him up, a former DHS guy) who said he could verify parts of what was written. And to the editor of the magazine, Jeffrey Goldberg, he knows the sources. They are not anonymous to him. Goldberg is not a serial or a pathological liar. Does that adequately answer your question and comments?

Does that adequately answer your question and comments? It is interesting that Gen Kelly who was almost certainly witness to the statements and certainly the ones made at his son’s graveside, has neither publicly confirmed or denied the Atlantic story. His lack of a public denial is much more telling than any public confirmation. He is content to let the article speak for itself.
