If they started Mik they might win some games. Her minutes were about the same as the starters. She needs to get used to their players and their style of play. I suspect she will end up starting soon. Besides it does not matter who starts, its how many minutes you are on the floor. Team chemistry is also important. I think this game was the second one they were scheduled to play with their first game being canceled. That gave the team more time to practice thus resulting in more playing time for Mik than she was getting in preseason games. She was projected to be a starter. Euro teams are only allowed so many foreign players on their rosters. The ones they bring in are expected to start. She just took longer than expected to adjust to that level and their style of play. With this team she has to play more without the ball than she did at Oregon St. She will do fine once she adjusts. I wouldn't get too upset about her not starting. As I said she propably will soon. Besides it is the minutes and who is in the game at the close that matters.

That's a pretty good gig. Twenty-something years old, playing basketball and living in Spain. Sign me up.

If they started Mik they might win some games. Well they started her and they didn't win. She didn't have a good outing this second game, but thats basketball. One day its working for you and the next game its not. The team they played was a very good team. Not only did they have Cazorla, but they also had both Samuelson sisters. They just blew Miks team out.

When the coach sent her back in they were 35 points behind, Mik stepped out of bounds for a turnover and the coach yanked her for the rest of the game.

Wow, they will not pass Mik the ball. The only offensive touches she gets are when she grabs an offensive rebound.

Wow, they will not pass Mik the ball. The only offensive touches she gets are when she grabs an offensive rebound. I noticed that as well during the few minutes I was able to watch. Her teammates have difficulty creating separation from their defenders and the ball doesn't usually touch Pivec unless she gets a board or loose ball. I don't think any of her teammates would be all-conference in the PAC-12. The offense is initiated by a point guard who played at South Florida who can't shoot or finish in the paint, but she plays mega minutes even when she struggles. Marie came off the bench and finished with 11 points I believe. Valencia is one of the top teams in the Spanish First Division. Campus Promete is limited by a lack of strong post play and should finish in the middle of the Spanish First Division's (Grupo A) 16 teams.
