I got this from the WSU board....
This from the moderator. Jovana Subasic, who last season led the WSU women's basketball team in blocks (30) and 3-point field goal percentage (40.0) and was third on the team in scoring (8.4) and fourth in rebounds (4.0), will play her fifth season of college ball at Oregon State, OSU announced today.
Subasic, per sources close, was told after the season by the WSU staff that they were going a different direction and encouraged the 6-foot-4 forward from Serbia to continue her career elsewhere.
Coug1990: I believe one of the assistants at OSU was the recruiting coor at WSU when she was being recruited. Good for her if they are able to play this year.
Moderator: A little more to the story, also courtesy of an impeccable source. After urging Subasic to move on, WSU coaches had second thoughts (presumably due to a recruiting hiccup or two) and invited her back. Subasic, by then being wooed by Maryland, OSU and others, gave the response you’d expect.

Interesting find....The coaches at WSU must think they can up their recruiting game if they encouraged Jovana to walk out the door. She's no super star by any standard, but she looks solid and WSU needs all the solid players they can get. I don't follow WSU at all, so I don't know if they have been making splashes on the recruiting trail.....
Maybe the WSU coaches and Subasic just got tired of each other....
Conjecture is difficult to get excited about right now because there is a good chance that we won't get a season at all.... But I will say that it's not unusual for mid-impact players, such as Subasic, to find that playing on a better team with better players allows aspects of their game to flourish that could not on a weaker team.... Hopefully, that's the case with Jovana.... GO BEAVS!!

After losing their only 2 consistent scorers to graduation, that seems rather idiotic to encourage Subasic to also leave.

Maybe 2 of their season ticket holders didn't like her. When you only average 755 total attendees per game, including students, parents, and people who bought a ticket by mistake, 2 represents a significant percentage.
Makes no sense at all to ease her out unless there was big time friction. This is going to turn out a whole bunch better for Subasic than for Washington State.

I'd like to see her get a nice round of applause when she gets announced. I also noted that Muzet for WSU doesn't appear to be returning. I didn't see her on this year's roster.

I'd hate to be a coach at WSU and know that year in and year out I had to deal with UCLA, Stanford, Arizona, Oregon, ASU, and The Beavs. This is a killer league.... GO BEAVS!!

Muzet also grad-transferred — she landed at Rhode Island. I’m not entirely sure, but reading their board, Muzet and Subasic may have been the only two recruits left that weren’t their HCs recruits. Regardless, strange to boot two of the top returning players.

Not sure if it's updated, but WSU site is showing 2 of the Molina sisters, Motuga and Levy. Technically that would've been Ethridge's first class, but she probably didn't have much time to recruit when she took the job. Molina #2 and Molina #3 were definitely June's recruits, package deal for Molina #1.
Anyway, there's not much to work w/. Motuga is leading returning scorer at about 7 pts/game and 4 rebs/game.

Maybe the staff was looking out for her best interest when they realized the dumpster fire they were in charge of.
