From your link: “Information in this post was accurate at the time of its posting. Due to the fluid nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, scientific understanding along with guidelines and recommendations may have changed since the original publication date.” I love a good CYA. So um your article did nothing to say the 96% number was wrong. It just says they “think” the COVID will have longer lasting affects. I can link articles for days about the ongoing symptoms they are discovering that they are learning about right now. Would you like to provide something that backs up your 96% are completely fine claim? do these articles have any data that backs up the beliefs of the author? Or is it more articles with a CYA note at the end?
CDC
and looks like I was wrong. According to the numbers shown by the CDC the number is actually 97%.

So, if 3% of the Tigers football team died this fall, and many more suffered an array of symptoms with complications we still don't really understand that would be fine with you so long as the SEC isn't being weak or football isn't disrupted? Doesn't that seem irresponsible to you?

Now how many D1 athletes have had serious complications from COVID?

That's my point. Why play games with something we don't understand? We don't NEED football. As much as we want it why push the agenda when we are walking into this thing blind?

Uh yea we do. 100’s of D1 athletes have tested positive, and not a single D1 athlete has had serious complications.

We don't know how many, because many schools aren't telling - Bloomberg News reported the following on Aug 13: About a dozen student athletes have experienced heart inflammation after being diagnosed with the disease caused by the coronavirus, the NCAA’s chief medical officer said Thursday, two days after the Big Ten and Pac-12 announced they would postpone fall sports. Dr. Brian Hainline, the NCAA’s chief medical officer, said during a Thursday media briefing held by the Infectious Diseases Society of America that he was aware of about a dozen cases of myocarditis, a heart condition that can cause sudden death in young athletes. It’s not clear how many student athletes have been infected with the coronavirus since some schools aren’t releasing that information.

So we don’t know the exact number of cases, but I‘m fairly confident that if even one student athlete had serious issues with a case of Covid it would be front page news. I know LSU has had around 20-30 test positive. Not a single one has serious issues. As is the same case with everyone that I personally know that caught Covid.

The Covid has been in the states since sometime in March. Has anyone has long term complications from it? oh long term is more than 6 months so the government can hold us down for even longer. Got it. do you drive a vehicle to work everyday? Do you fly in an airplane? Do you have doctors perform operations when they are needed?

The Georgia State QB is going to miss the season due to Covid-19 complications. So will a Clemson DE. The Georgia state QB also gave credit to the athletic staff for catching the heart condition and sounds like he will be fine. As he is talking about returning to the field in 2021. Sounds to me like The Clemson DE is only missing time because he got out of shape when he contracted the covid. The article I read said that due to the new red shirt rule he will likely play later in the season. That is void now that every student athlete has been granted another year of eligibility. I do appreciate you actually having a rational discussion rather than what your fellow beaver fan is doing.
