My BA226 prof in in about 1984 was W.Alfred Mukatis. He said if someone could figure out what the W stood for they would get an A. He never made that offer to our class - I knew people that could have gotten me that information

LSU fan here. What are y’all thoughts on F. king Alexander as university president. At LSU we are pretty happy he is way over there on the west coast. He really hasn't done very much - seems like he just started, but with ideas like this, I'm finding him to OK... Well I guess it was a win-win then. Well got him the hell out of here and y'all are happy to have him.

Something on the board besides fighting about Coronavirus. It's getting old.

Something on the board besides fighting about Coronavirus. It's getting old. Yet you keep doing it. True, but I've also brought up many other non-covid subjects, unlike many. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

He is not a leader at all, and he runs s%#te like a politician. During the 2016 election the rumor around here was that he was positioning himself to get a position in Clinton's cabinet. That is why the firing of Les Miles was handled the way it was. At the time F. King was actively lobbying the state for more funding, and it was thought it would be a bad look for him to be asking for more money while also paying a coach millions not to coach.

Also, his comment the other day about the reason for the PAC 12 shutting down fall sports gave me a bad flash back.

So your opinion is based in part on rumors. And what quote exactly?
This one? Q: Are there any philosophical differences between the SEC presidents and the Pac-12 presidents?
Alexander: My colleagues are concerned about the same things in the Southeastern Conference. There is a different political pressure. Certainly in some states, might involve the governors in making tough decisions like the one (the Pac-12) made this past week (in postponing fall sports).
Our 12 (Pac-12) presidents were able to make this decision based on medical advisers, based on facts, based on the findings that we don’t know everything about this heart disease that’s caused by it. We were able to make decisions based on a collection of facts from experts. There wasn’t the political dynamics that would impact some SEC schools in specific states. You’ve already seen some governors already speaking up about who’s going to play football, and that they’re gonna play football no matter what.

My dislike for him isn’t based on the rumor that he wanted to be a part of Clinton’s cabinet. It is based on his handling of situations while he was at LSU.
Alexander was asked what the Pac-12 sees that the SEC doesn’t see in regards to cancelling fall sports. Alexander’s reply was “I think, probably reality”. That is the condescending attitude that didn’t play well here at all. Also that comment can age really poorly.
So far the LSU athletics medical staff doesn’t see any issues with playing sports this fall.
The heart condition is something that they have known about for a while and if it’s caught early it’s easily treatable.

Hey Glove .....it pretty obvious that you are somewhat biased in your stance as well ....it’s an interesting take that really focused on this one subject but we gloss over the other aspects as if we just accept them at face value
