LSU fan here. What are y’all thoughts on F. king Alexander as university president. At LSU we are pretty happy he is way over there on the west coast.

I’m for it! Oh, F King Alexander! Sorry. Tough timing but he’s likable so far to me.

Something wrong with a guy that goes by "F.King" last name. Seriously.

Something wrong with a guy that goes by "F.King" last name. Seriously. His given name is Fart, so I guess it's a reasonable compromise to go by his middle name.

Too soon to tell.
In other news, F.King A. wrote to campus today to tell everyone that OSU’s interim Associate Vice President for public safety and Chief of Police has decided to leave his position at OSU effective Aug. 21, 2020.
(He started on May 25 of this year.)

In the interview he gave he said he was gassy as a baby. So his dad started to call him Fart King as a nick name in the hospital but it got put on the birth certificate as a joke to his mother. They did not realize it until he started school it was never changed officially.
He said his parents called him Delbert unless they got angry with him. Then he went by the name F'king Alexander,......clean your room.

One of Ed's last moves was to extend the contract with OSP until the end of the calendar year, so that's in place. OSU is already in the process of hiring officers, and now, apparently, our second Chief. I don't think anyone thought it was a practicable notion to get the whole campus police force up and running by July 1 of this year, but now it's going to take a bit longer still. We are likely to not see an announcement of a hire before six weeks are done, so that's the end of September; assuming the new Chief can start mid-October, that person could be inheriting police officers and sergeants hired by non-police admins and committees, and will have two months to get everyone up and running, and on board with what a campus police force means practically as well as philosophically. The "good" news is that all of this will be happening on a mostly empty campus, so all the ideas that go into making a community- (read: student, read: tuition$) oriented agency will have some time to be worked through without having to hit a full campus of student head-on right off the bat. Still, it's an ambitious undertaking to get it done without having to extend OSP's coverage into the new year, and to do so without the department leadership in place.

Still, it's an ambitious undertaking to get it done without having to extend OSP's coverage into the new year, and to do so without the department leadership in place. They already had to pay OSP $2 million to extend their service through the end of the year on a fairly empty campus. They better get moving on a new Chief and staffing up their force. OSP has them hostage at this point.

Just to be clear and all jokes aside his first name is actually "Fieldon" and not Fart. Not sure that is all that much better though.

I sort of like the "That F'king president of ours" legend that should grow - as a kid you hate it, as a professional it sounds silly, but when you have grandkids and are retired, you get to tell all the cool stories....

My BA226 prof in in about 1984 was W.Alfred Mukatis. He said if someone could figure out what the W stood for they would get an A.
