Verbal commitments are like modern relationships, there's no real commitment but at least we used a Trojan in the process.

Wow. Great get!!!
This is the kind of kid that is going to turn around programs. And just the kind that Oregon State needs to get on a consistent basis. Not all-world, but a good steady P5 level player. Although, the SC offer tells you about the athleticism. a great "wow" here.
It usually means that not only do you get a player with physical skills, you get a guy with the mental aspect as well. A guy who understands what coaches are telling them to do, and then can actually go out and do it.
Lastly, smart move by him. With our dire need of good LBs and DEs, he could get instant PT. Might take him awhile to see the field if he stayed with USC.
