Very good. I enjoyed it. Even though a bit of it hit close to home. Mrs TB passed from esophageal cancer last year. So some of the treatments were familiar. The doctors were a bit more empathetic than ours. <spoiler alert> It was hard to watch some of the patients spiral down. I never saw the instruments in the surgery center. That was pretty cool

I am sorry that your wife went through that. And I am very sorry for your loss.

Thanks irimi Yeah that cancer along with stomach & neck cancer is awful. The 5 year survival rate is like 15%. When the doc came out from the endoscopy & said she found a mass I quick googled it. I never looked again.Mrs TB blanked out for like 5 hours. Just did not remember it. She "woke up" when a surgeon came into the ER and was talking about a feeding tube. She "woke up" and said hell no.
I'm interested in the Dr on the show that came down with the neck cancer & how he does. It looked like the producers walked around that to me.

And that she did it her way. That was always her. I feel for the folks that have a partner here one day & gone the next. Absolutely devastating. Since we had a lead up to the end I thought I was ready for the "after". Not even close. I have found out that I can cry anyplace anytime. I just let it go. I never was like that before. You handle it by putting one step in front of the other. One minute, one hour at a time if need be. And our friends help a lot. They really look out for me. They are good at checking in with me. I still think of her all the time... I was pretty worried about Mrs Sage. Then you go on the IR & s%#t got real. Thanks for your tots & pears

So sorry to hear of that Mark. My dad passed from esophageal cancer as well but he was 86. He had a stent put in place and lasted about 18 months after that. Since I have GERDS and Barretts Esophagus they have have me on a regular endoscopy schedule.
