I have absolutely no faith in that a vaccine even if developed will be available to enough people to be effective. Remember the Presidential quote that everyone who wants a test can get one. The vaccine rollout will be identical in failure. Have a little faith, bro! You’re a big downer lately. There are 8 jillion negative tests by idiots that don’t even have the actual Covid symptoms. Weed them out and we would be in a lot better shape. By the way, 50 million! Tests have been done. Go ahead, compare and contrast. Then go and shake the hand of the...never mind.

The vaccine rollout will be identical in failure. Provided we get a vaccine that works, I'm thinking the rollout should be much more successful and rapid than the testing rollout. Unlike the tests, which had to be proven to work and get approval before starting production, the vaccines are supposedly going to start production before final approval. By the time they get cleared there will likely be millions of doses ready to go. That's a huge head start, a big financial risk to the companies or government (whoever is funding it) as well if the vaccines aren't approved. Hopefully the trials are safe and successful, otherwise it could be a very long slog. As far as the Trump quote goes, even his "scientists" were saying that. They should have been way more careful with their words and said something along the lines of anyone who has actual legitimate symptoms should be able to get a test. So far 47 million out of 52 million tests have been negative. My guess a LOT, not all though, of those negative tests were performed on people with a great deal of paranioa and no symptoms. It would have been nice if most all the early tests could have been used on people with symptoms or at least very high risk and in the position to infect others, not so sure that was the case. Sadly, we have enough anti-vax idiots running around I don't think access to this vaccine is going to be an issue. You know, bill gates, microchips and 5G. I just made myself sad, sometimes stupidity is malignant, ya know?

So you are suggesting that every American, all 330 million should be able to get tested every time they leave their house? Go to the store? Get tested. Go to work? Get tested. Etc. That certainly isn’t feasible in any country. What I was referring to was people that go to the hospital to get tested because they have non-Covid 19 symptoms. They are plentiful, and slowing down the whole system delaying results for folks that really need them.

His scientists did not say that! They said that's what was needed. The reason 68% of Americans think trump screwed up the pandemic is he wouldn't listen to scientists and talked out of the big thing he sits on.

The reason 68% of Americans think trump screwed up the pandemic is he wouldn't listen to scientists and talked out of the big thing he sits on. I watched most of the Covid briefings. Trump would go out and blabber, then he and Fauci, Birx and others would answer questions. Fauci and Birx had slightly different verbiage than Trump, but bottom line was he gave them everything they asked for. The media played up everything Trump said and largely played down a good chunk of the real info the others provided. Trump gave experts a forum, and basically followed their recommendations throughout. Many of the very people who are spearheading the Trump did us wrong movement were highly critical of the chinese travel ban and the shutdown to flatten the curve. There are many people who don’t understand that testing would have limits because this being a novel virus, there were no tests and production had to ramp up. The CDC has always been the provider for breakout vaccines in the US and they, not Trump, botched the early rollout. There are media and politicians that lied about Trump turning down WHO test kits. Never offered, never discussed, the CDC has always been our test provider. It’s the Trump administration that brought private businesses into the testing fold to allow for the ramp up that is occurring. There are many people that don’t realize the US has never had the PPE supply to handle this kind of pandemic, and when a pandemic comes along that you suddenly need more N-95 masks than the combined hospitals in the nation have used in the last 1 to 3 decades, there’s going to be a shortage. (All US hospitals combined use on average 75-90 million single use N-95 masks a year, it has been estimated we needed billions for this). Every leader, left or right, would have faced these issues, and from what I’ve seen, most of our traditional politicians are usually less decisive than Trump is. It’s a mess no matter who is/was in charge.

While this thread is spiralling down into yet another political pissing match (which I'll end up s%#t canning), I'll add that our own Derek Anderson is an anit-masker on Twitter.
Too many hits to the head I guess? Although, I don't think he's always been the sharpest tool in the shed.

Furthermore, you took a huge leap there assuming I'm infected. I haven't been tested so I guess I don't know for sure. What I do know is that fortunately, I still don't know anybody that has been diagnosed with Covid 19. I'm around a lot of people, so I think the odds would say that no, I haven't infected anyone. You have been through more medical issues lately than anyone should have to, and I'm sorry for that. I just think you were too quick to judge here.

He screwed up time and time as Faucti stood behind him shaking his head I actually listened to Fauci and Birx. They were at the pressers and answering questions. Trump can be an idiot a lot of the time, but the others were largely the policy drivers at the time. If anything, I'd be more inclined to say Trump has been botching up the last few weeks, failing to listen to their advice and concentating on proving himself right about stuff like his hydroxycloroquine rant of the last day or two.
