It's really been a pleasure watching Wiese the last 2 games. Early in Q3 she has 12 points on 5-6 shooting, 3 rebounds. She's just playing really efficient, and contributing quite a bit.

Maybe the coach didn't like a defensive match up, but Wiese sat most of the 2nd half. She splashed another 3 late in the game, finished w/ 15.
Gulich had 6 points on 3-4 shooting and 3 boards. She's a solid reserve, if she can just find a home. Third team in 3 seasons.

She's a solid reserve, if she can just find a home. Third team in 3 seasons. No Wiese is a good defender. She is a better defender than Williams. Williams is a streak shooter and she was hot. It seems that Fisher likes to give his bench players time on the floor when ever possible to see how well they do on any given day. When Williams is on a hot streak she is hard to stop. However when she is cold, you want her on the bench. I am glad that Fisher recognizes that fact. He didn't last season and kept her in the game even when she was bricking. I watched Gulich when she played on her other two teams. She just never got an opportunity to play extended min. When she was with Phoenix she was never going to get many back up center min. Griner plays most of the game. Even then the coach would pull her out for no reason when ever she got in. Her last gig she got more time on the court, but even when she played well they would play E.Williams even though she sucked most of last season. Many posters on other sites thought that Anigwe would get more backup min. Anigwe puts up better stats, but that is because she plays little help defense. If you watch Gulich, she plays very good help defense and I think Fisher recognize it. She is very active and you seldom see her just in one spot on defense. When I watch post players on defense, I try to notice how much area on the court they cover.

I think Gulich plays decent primary defense too. She gets matched up with some big bodies and does fairly well holding position. She gets no breaks from the refs though, they're really quick to call fouls on her.
She really motors up and down the floor. It's cool seeing her filling a lane on the fast break. Crashes the offensive glass and gets some garbage buckets too.
Yeah, Riquna was feeling it. LA has a whole lot of guards and wings to cycle thru. Ruffin-Pratt was injured, they missed her less than not at all. That still leaves them a rotation of Gray, Wiese, Augustus, Williams, Sykes and Cooper. Although it looks like they were playing Seimone at the 4 some today.

Syd's doing it again. If my quick calculations are correct, last 3 games she's scored 50 points on 18-27 FG and 10-15 behind the arc. That's killing it!
