Excellent for Pivec! CD Promete is in Logrono, in Spain's Basque country. It's about 40 miles from Pamplona. She can run with the bulls.

I am just going to have to start looking for international streaming video - so many Beavs in so many places.

Does CD Promete have both professional and amateur teams? Or is the Beaver recruit mentioned going pro?

Probably more money and a guarantee in Europe. She was a third round WNBA pick and a stretch to make the team.

2021 recruit Txell Alarcon also will play for CD Promete. I thought the EEU had banned Americans from entering Europe.

Word is the Dream wanted her to do this rather than cut her altogether since there were basically no tryouts. She will be able to try out with them next year.

Word is the Dream wanted her to do this rather than cut her altogether since there were basically no tryouts. She will be able to try out with them next year. This is the best move for her. Unless you are a top pick or the team has a real need at your position it is difficult to make a WNBA team in any year based purely on training camp. Training camp is too short and the sample is not enough to really show how a player will consistently play over a longer period of time. Playing over seas will also give her an opportunity to raise her 3 point shooting percentage, which is what knocked her down in the draft this last season. As an off guard her 3 point shooting is what will dictate her future. All the things she excelled in at the college level will not translate as well in the Pro's. She had really good 3pt stats during her Junior year and that is why she was projected to go in the first round. Unfortunately they dropped considerable last season. She is actually a much better 3pt shooter than her stats showed this last season and her play overseas should give her the opportunity to show that.
