TG has a possession receiver in 5th year senior Bradford. He has speedy wide-outs and sure handed tight ends. A stable of excellent RB's behind him. If the OL can keep him upright, this could be a special year! Of course the thing that players and coaches can't control, namely this damned pandemic may derail the whole thing. Just the Beavers luck that when the Washington schools have new coaches, the quackers are looking for a new qb, and the Beavs look ready to take a big step forward anyway, the season goes into the crapper. Go Beavs!! I agree. I was really looking forward to this year, seeing the development and the promise. Maybe it will still happen, but it won’t be anything like it should have been. Damn 2020!

Go Beavs!! I think Bradford is a good one. Good speed, good hands. Tyjon Lindsey is another promising player who can run the fly sweep and I like him too. Kolby Taylor also showed off some reliable hands and crisp route running and I expect him to be a solid #3. But this is a group that lacks size, as Hodgins left a giant pair of shoes to fill, both figuratively and literally. The OL is going to feel the loss of Brandel, who was massively underrated, and Lavaka, who has been the best road grader we've seen in a Beaver uni for quite some time. Eldridge at Center will help shore it up in the middle, but the edges aren't going to be as solid as they were last year is my prediction. They will not grade out as consistently well as the 2019 unit did, despite having a healthy Jermar and BJ Baylor making them look good. The sure-handed tight ends is the one where I have questions. Musgrave has tons of potential and there have been rave reviews about his speed but to say that he is green is an understatement, and Quitoriano caught what - one pass last year? He's our blocking TE so that's ok that he hasn't had a ton of targets, but I would be surprised to see a bunch of production out of our TE's this season. All that aside.. I truly think that none of these things on their face will be a major factor in how good we are this season. It will depend entirely upon how much Tibs' defense improves and how much pressure is correspondingly heaped upon our young signal caller. They took a big, big step forward last year and the front 7 has some promising talent. We need Whittley to be a big role player in this for it to work, and one more corner opposite Wright, but there are some really strong pieces with Rashed, Gumbs, Speights, Roberts, Hodgins, Grant, Morris and Wright. Feel really good about 8 of our starters on defense, and it's been a while since we could say that.
