PerfectSpeaking of Drew... how about a little throwback Thursday? I'd also contend that Drew is the most talented pitcher to come through the program.... but let the argument begin. Crossing my fingers he stays healthy as his MLB career presses on.

As far as college tenure....Heimlich was ahead of Drew in my opinion

Crossing my fingers he stays healthy as his MLB career presses on. Cecil Ira. Steve Clark was a great pitcher and led the team in hitting, as well. He was also the kicker that led Oregon State to the 1965 Rose Bowl. His kicks made up the difference in four games that year. Ken Forsch. All-Pac 8. 48 consecutive scoreless innings. 16 seasons in the majors, both an American League and National League All-Star. He threw the final inning of the 1976 All-Star game, a 7-1 NL win. He threw the earliest in the season no-hitter in Major League History (game 2 in 1979). He was the game 1 starter in the 1980 NLCS in Philadelphia on three days' rest: The Astros led the Dodgers by three games with three games to play, but the Dodgers won all three at Dodger Stadium, each by one run, to set up a one-game playoff, the first in NL history. The Astros won game 163 at Dodger Stadium 7-1 to advance to the NLCS. The next day, the Astros were in Philadelphia for Game 1 of the NLCS.

Not so. Cleveland's Bob Feller threw a no-hitter on opening day 1940, against the White Sox. It is the only time in history a team's batting averages after a non-forfeited official game were the same as they were before the game.

Hideo Nomo no-hit the Orioles (Day Four). The NL record: April 7, 1979. Ken Forsch no-hit the Braves. Opening Day no-hitter: April 16, 1940. Bob Feller no-hit the White Sox. Earliest Day Two no-hitter: April 7, 1979. Ken Forsch no-hit the Braves.

OK. Nomo earliest in the calendar, Feller earliest in the season. Win-win!

What are players like Nick, Trevor, Drew, and Adley who are not on the 40 man rosters currently doing day to day with no minor leagues?
