Momentum can win a bunch of games. 07 rode that rain delay in Charlottesville to a title. It's hard to argue against rings. I think if Luke is pitching in CWS 17 it's them in a walk. Losing him evens up the field a bit. I'm still going to go with 2017

I think it was because their ballpark was being remodeled. Then in game 1, they missed nailing one of our runners at home in the in the 9th due to an stunningly limp-armed throw from their left fielder. OSU got the 1-0 W. So the '07 team also benefited from a few fortuitous breaks.

With a man in scoring position OS was going to "send em" on anything hit to LF. It's like saying OS got a break in '06 because North Carolina couldn't field the short game. Maybe i got a bit over my skis on the remark that '07 rolled after the Regional. Let's say they got hot at the right time and also caught a few breaks

07 baby, no team had an "easier" time of it. Not saying they expected to win easily, but going fishing every morning, best catch that morning is the the guy going to step up that day, let's just say no Beaver team had ever had that swagger and backed it up so well.

I had the good fortune to be at the tailgater where the Michigan team bus stopped. What a great group of young men. The coach stopped and shook all of our hands after that game. So did the kid who lost the no-no on the 9th. '

Zach Putnam. Has bounced between triple-A and MLB for the last decade. The Michigan coach returned to Goss as the Ball State coach several years ago.

Good hitter and good speed. But no arm to speak of. In the fifth, he beat out an infield single and stole second with two outs. He was then singled over to third on a second infield single. He was stranded when the nine-hole hitter grounded out to third to end the inning. VanBuskirk was the only Michigan player to see third base the entire series. (The Wolverines' two runs the following day were both on solo shots.) VanBuskirk was the only Michigan player who had a hit in the first 5.1 innings against Mike Stutes in game 2 and the second base runner (the first walked and then was doubled off by Braden Wells after a fly ball to right to end the first). VanBuskirk is now a Regional Sales Manager at Veo Robotics (automotive industry) in Michigan.
