Just like that moment when the first two players were diagnosed in the NBA, you knew it was over.....

auto correct can get you. I remember once, before I educated my computer, I typed Beavs and it corrected it to Bears. Unfortunately, we were playing Cal that weekend.

It’s for the best really. And how are college sports supposed to be able to deal with this virus if the pros can’t?

And I typed Phillies. Proofread. I was going to be snarky and mention Beau but thought better of it.

Sooooo..
SOME people get to edit their spelling errors after 5 minutes. And some folks don’t.
(Not truly outraged, mind you. Said with a smile. And I assume the mods not the original poster made the correction. But I never understood the draconian post editing limit)

I don't believe this means the end to anything.
It means that the leagues need to have plans in place to account for when someone (or several someone's) test positive.
They also need to have a plan in place for what happens IF too many players test positive.
This is a multi-billion $$ a year organization.
If they can't handle keeping a fairly small, fairly isolated workforce safe from COVID, then many of the rest of us don't have much hope of getting back to "business-as-usual".

They are running out of time - owners are stalling until it's too late to start the season. F#$!k professional baseball owners.

But shouldn't zeroposter have been given the option to correct (Phillips/Phillies) his own post? No need to answer, it's a rhetorical question.

Understood. But he missed his 5 minute window to edit and a moderator fixed it for him. A nice helpful moderator.
