Thanks for the link. Wonder if OSU has offered? Wasn't able to find anything online. There certainly are quite a few OSU ties with both family and friends.

I would think that they are looking at him; 7'3", a legacy and dad working at OSU sort of makes him hard to avoid. But does he have Pac-12 skills? I remember watching his dad play - the man was a scoring machine, with the only question being how much could he score before fouling out. If my memory is close to accurate, on Senior Day, he scored 12 points and got 5 fouls in the 1st quarter.

I don't know if I would have ever described the father as a "scoring machine" but I do remember his having some good points on senior day. I always felt that he could have been a decent player if he had started playing basketball at a younger age. If I recall right, he spent the great chunk of his youth playing soccer (goalie, I think) and didn't get introduced to basketball until well into his teens. He had athleticism, but basketball is definitely a specific skill set.

Very raw kid,but you can't teach 7-3. Kid was like 6-10 in the 8th grade...dad works at osu. My daughter goes to school with him at CHS. Very much a project. Older sis is 6-6...mom around the same.

Lack of athleticism will hold him back.

He hardly played most of his career.

Johan came to a party at our fraternity, (late 80's) and introduced himself to one our guys by saying "You are tall, but I am taller. Hello, I am Johan, 7' 1"." I remember him going five for five from the field, and fouling out in about 10 minutes during his senior night game against the ducks. The crowd was going nuts for his performance.

It'd be interesting to have watched him play this year and compare him after his year overseas. I'm not familiar with how things work in regards to the "academy". Donar's pro team has guys well into their mid to late 20's. Do they get to practice against them on occasion? At 7'3" and 265 he'd be the biggest guy on the pro team by quite a bit. He's certainly much thicker than the last time I saw him at a Beaver game a couple years back. A year of running, play and practice against better players than he was up against here might really help. Hopefully he'll have a college career, if it works out to be here, great.

Still, Reinalda was definitely a fan favorite while he was here.
