The family will be having a private, family only, ceremony in Bend .... but will have a celebration of some kind in Corvallis later on (probably closer to football season).
I'll keep everyone informed as I get details.

Richard Taylor and I met ever so briefly before a football game back in the days of the Beavermobile, but we had a longtime internet friendship that spanned Pure-Orange and The Pit, then Facebook. RT, knowing I was a big fan of the The Glove sent me a framed, autographed Sports Illustrated magazine with GP on the cover from his days in the Sonic green and yellow. Totally unsolicited. I'll admit I was super nervous when he asked for my home address. I didn't want to receive 100+ magazine subscriptions in the mail. I loved his tales and unrelenting pestering of Duck fans. I'll miss him. Rest in peace good buddy.

This is a joke that Beavermobile would like.
An elderly couple, Margaret and Bert, live in Arkansas.
Bert always wanted a pair of authentic cowboy boots. So seeing some on sale one day, he buys them, wears them home, walking proudly.
He walks into the house and says to his wife ‘Notice anything different about me?’
Margaret looks him over, ‘Nope.’
Frustrated, Bert storms off into the bathroom, undresses, and walks back into the room completely naked except for the boots.
Again, he asks, a little louder this time ‘Notice anything different NOW?’
Margaret looks up and says, ‘Bert, what’s different? It’s hanging down today, it was hanging down yesterday, and it’ll be hanging down again tomorrow.’
Furious, Bert yells, AND DO YOU KNOW WHY IT’S HANGING DOWN, MARGARET?
‘Nope’ she replies.
‘IT’S HANGING DOWN BECAUSE IT’S LOOKING AT MY NEW BOOTS!!!!!’ Bert yells.
To which Margaret replies…”Shoulda bought a hat, Bert. Shoulda bought a hat.”

I'll keep everyone informed as I get details. I just happened to land on a page with references to my posts, which are pretty few, and found this thread about BM's passing. It really stirred my emotions this morning and brought a mist to my eyes as I recalled the pure pleasure, entertainment and friendship he provided me over a LONG period of time - despite the fact we seldom say each other face to face.
IS there some kind of celebration/memorial loosely planned for sometime this season? I would like to show up for that if so.

I would suggest stopping by Lucky Bucky tailgate. hard to say if LB knows but there may well be someone there that knows something/anything.
LB is by the ROTC obstacle course. Probably about 3/4 canopies together

How sad! This is the first I heard of this also. Never met him, but he was one in a million. Loved his posts and hatred of the ucks!
