Well their style of play helps their recruiting. Up Tempo Team Ball. Not that hard to do. Paul Valenti even tried it for two or three games back in the Day. He could not stand the Turnovers. We had many without playing uptempo. That is strange.

Good grief, it's like watching lemmings. And somehow Graves convinces them all that they are going to be starters.

Good grief, it's like watching lemmings. And somehow Graves convinces them all that they are going to be starters. This is what Mikesell said about her decision... “The biggest thing was the culture coach (Kelly) Graves has built," she said. "I had talked to a lot of different players – past and present – so being able to talk to them about how he conducts his program was big. The program has a winning culture and I obviously want to win. It was culture, the coach and the basketball fit. The on-court fit was pretty perfect for me, so being able to go make plays is something I wanted this time around. I thought it was a perfect fit.” I get the impression from the bold text above that she wants to play a more open offensive style. I think Oregon's more open free flowing offense is something that sells well. I wonder if this was one of the reasons Destiny left Maryland, or was it more wanting to be closer to home.

Usually the kind of a pt guard you can recruit to your school determines what you can and can't do offensively. It could never hurt a program to get the fastest player you can, may even help your program. Ducks are really pulling away from the rest of the pac except OSU of course. Pao pao could probably start for many programs as a freshman next year. Appears the ducks are going to be two deep,if not 3 at at pt guard next year. I don't like the feeling that we have gone from the loss of two guard starters to three. Pevic was always a guard. Then hardly any noise in the transfer portal except watching all the availables going else where? Getting a bit nervous about this for next year. My distain for ducks coming out!

Again, only so many minutes of PT. Somebody in Eugene isn't going to be happy in 21-22, when she becomes eligible. Contrary to popular belief, you can have too many good players.
And I believe we added a conference POY as a grad transfer. That's far more than "hardly any noise in the transfer portal."

I was just reminded they also have a '21 commit who is a wing, Taylor Bigby. It's gonna be a REALLY crowded perimeter rotation in 21-22 if nobody else leaves between now and then.

It is survival of the fittest in Eugene as Graves continues to over recruit at several positions. Lots of talent breeds quality competition during practices as well as future transfers for those who don't earn sufficient playing time for their expectations. Three of the five incoming freshmen for the Ducks are guards. Add Mikesell to that perimeter group for '21-'22.

She is a 4/5 at 6'3. Shoots well outside though. Not a guard.

Not sure how that matters to the crowd getting splinters on the bench. It works at UCONN, Notre Dame, Baylor, Stanford and Louisville. If the water is warm joing the crowd here? Why not?
