"Didn't know I wrote that her departure wouldn't hurt? Now that's weird... but, expected. OSU being fine is pretty much common sense. They've been fine with far greater losses than Destiny." Can baseba1111 further define what OSU "being fine" looks like next season? If that includes another NCAA tournament berth, I'll sign up for that right now... Don't see OSU falling below 10-8. WSU, UW, Buffs, Utes, Cal are better not even close to OSU with what's returning, coming in. With Jelena actually playing and better than Grimek OSU is top 5 Pac12 and NCAA bound. Maybe even hosting. The recruits are both versatile and talented. The backcourt will be fine. Good mixture of experience and youth with some size.

The Washington schools I'm afraid are going backward next year, can't see how they will remotely replace the production of Melgoza and Hristova/Molina.

Are Goodman and/or Tudor close to 1000 points?

Are Goodman and/or Tudor close to 1000 points? Looks like Goodman is around 840 and Tudor around 880. Aleah should certainly get there next year but Kat missing 2/3 of a season and not being the same player after the injury really cut short her scoring.

At this point in Destiny s career she has some decisions to think out. I think we have 4 scholarships for next year. We need her leadership next year and for a smooth transition for a new point guard like herself. But, If I were her, supporting cast is very valuable and hopefully we don't have to wait anymore time next year for the bigs we were hoping to make this team special. We need help up front. She needs a supporting cast.
One other thing, I have seen a lot of hamstring injuries in football and very few on the basketball side.taya's injury was confusing why at some point she could not play again this year. I thought her injury wasn't the kind to keep her from playing indefinitely? Help here?

If she could play without burning eligibility, she might have been ready to play by now, but if you have the redshirt year, use it.

Aleah should certainly get there next year but Kat missing 2/3 of a season and not being the same player after the injury really cut short her scoring. Using the sources I posted in the first post of this thread, the Media Guide tells us that coming into this season, Goodman had scored 558 points in her prior two seasons, and Tudor had scored 738 in her prior three seasons. Using the season stats page, we see Aleah has thus far scored 281 this season, and Kat has scored 234. So Aleah is currently at 839 (you were spot on, nwhoopfan!), and Kat is at 972 (which is why I am posting). I have been quietly watching, hoping for a Civil War 2019 like outburst from Kat, and/or a deep run in the Pac-12 tournament, and now I will be hoping for both a deep run into the NCAAs and a big outburst from Kat in a couple of those games. I sure hope Kat can score 28 more points this season, she is certainly deserving of being on the 1000 point scorer list, and I don't think I have seen a prettier shot from beyond the arc...…... Go Beavers!

Well if the Beavs can play at least 3 games in the Tourney, very reasonable chance for Kat to get to 1000, especially if she can go off in at least one of them.

Mik is the heart and soul of this team but Destiny is the one who keeps the train on the right track. We have a solid core group coming back next year.I believe she wants to be here one more year.We could even be better then good.I truly believe all our bigs with the exception of Brown perhaps will play next year.Who wouldn't want to lead that bunch ? So bring me up to date since I have been gone for a couple of months. You made a comments that"....with the exception of Brown will play next year." I realize that Kennedy injured her knee, but why would she not play next year?

I realize that Kennedy injured her knee, but why would she not play next year? Kennedy has not had her surgery yet, and seeing how long it took Kat to get back up to speed with 3 years in program, she might just want the year to improve and get stronger. I also have the suspicion she might be targeting using her red-shirt year to play with her sister her senior year. Totally blind speculation on my part, but I think it might be part of the calculus.
