Looks ready to compete to me. From what I can find he's considered middle of the road in just his juco area (XIV?). Considered a 2* juco, 10/7 guy at that level with little to no face up game. Defensively he's athletic, tries to block shots, gets out of position. No matter the write up he's no answer in the middle, but he's better than Silva and Dastrup. Still think Tucker has a bright future. Does any 4 or 5 in college basketball have a "face up game" anymore? Big guys today are pretty raw, not a lot of teaching going on in AAU ball, they learn on the fly in college. This looks like a decent addition.

Or maybe we’re defining face up game differently. All the bigs want to be shooting from outside and putting the ball in the floor. Most don’t often play with back to the basket. At 6-8 though, is this guy big enough to just be playing with his back to the basket without some face up game? Especially since he’ll likely be playing the 4. But if he can play D, he’ll be a useful piece of the puzzle hopefully.

I like that he dunks the ball when he is at the rim, something our current 6’8” + guys don’t do a lot. Different comp level I know, but I like the mentality.

6-8 245 pound post.
Tinkle's comment: "He’s a real warrior on the court. He brings a physicality to the post position we haven’t had in a while. He has extremely long arms and a great touch, but his best attribute may be how relentless he is on the boards."
Tulsa and Arkansas were the other teams interested according to 247, with OSU the only scholarship offer out of the 3.
