Kevin “the shaggy dog” Field Who? You don't remember Kevin? Played here two years, was a 4* prospect, was out of shape and eventually transferred to Portland, I think.

C.J Giles. He made it about 10 games or so. That dude has parlayed his college career into traveling the world playing basketball. Doubt he got rich, but apparently he's still playing.

He had tranferred to Montana State by the 21st century (and had a decent career there)... Jeff Riggs. 5'9" southern Oregon kid that only played in garbage time at OSU, but won the (fan vote) Midnight Madness dunk contest vs. Brent Barry (visiting in street clothes). Kid had just incredible hops.

Iyan Walker. 6'8, but the dude's wingspan must have been well over 7'. Was like watching a baby giraffe learning to walk for 4 years.

Rhys Murphy... Aussie who was a super athletic freak. Was a big offer guy coming out of AAU ball in Chicago and picked OSU. At the time he had like 40 offers or more. I was so hyped he was going to be really really good. A 6'7", jumping jack. Maybe a lefty, pretty sure?? Then on the 1st official practice his frosh year he breaks his foot... redshirts. RS Fr season, 4-5 games in breaks his wrist/has surgery. Played in about half the games in 2011-2012, but was never the same.
Transferred to Chaminade for last two years. Was high academic kid, last I read he was back in Sydney and started a basketball school, AUSA Hoops. Develop Aussie players and bring them over for AAU play, tests their abilities and hopefully gets them noticed here.

Those guys aren't very random Both were stars that went on to play professional ball, Ricci even in the outskirts of the NBA. He's still coaching within the Association even: www.nba.com/kings/news/kings-add-phil-ricci-coaching-staff

I worked at Winco in '96 with a friend of Rigg's (Riggs played on the 95/96 and 96/97 teams if I recall correctly) , heard a few second hand stories about the team I've since forgotten. Apparently the kid had amazing hops. I never saw him play.

That was a sad memory - I had visions of him being a Bryan Jackson-level recruit coming out of HS, and sadly his career had a similar injury-ridden path.
