You mean like winning the PAC 12 tournament and getting the automatic bid? You might as well say the beavs will win the national championship in football. Then why root for them at all if there's no hope?

Please whoever you are DO NOT tell us what it will take for the Beavs to get to the tourney. The ship has sailed. You mean like winning the PAC 12 tournament and getting the automatic bid? Whaaa, ....whaa, wha, what?!!! All we need to do is win the PAC-12 tourney?! ...I'm sure WT will flick that ol' switch on when the time is right. Lol. We are, and have been, headed to the N.O.T. ....as in the NOT going anywhere.

You complain about anything that has to do with people that have the last name Tinkle. So it’s not okay for baseba1111 to always say negative things about the Tinkles but it is okay for Coach Tinkle to coach that way. Hmmm....hypocrite, much? For one that was anyone with the last name Tinkle. He has a son on the team and two daughters that are very vocal during the game. I’m not the judge nor jury of how he coaches. If we were winning no one would care about how he coaches.

Cherry picking... Boyle has at least 4 NCAAs in last 9. This will make 5 in 10. Tinkle is now 5-4 against Boyle in conference play with two of those losses coming in Tres-less 2017. Boyle beat Tinkle twice in the Pac-12 Tourney, once with the completely gassed, mostly walk-on 2015 team and the other time last year. I was trying to compare them in the Pac-12. Including what Boyle did before Tinkle got here seems like cherry picking to me. But if you insist on comparing the two, while Tinkle was at Montana: Boyle has four Tourney appearance in his last nine, and Tinkle has three. Cherry picking is choosing the best years/only seasons to the worst/latest. Pac12 career numbers don't have to be equal to compare. And Montana isn't exactly Pac12 level competition unless you now claim those teams would have made or playing in the Pac10/12? If you think WT is on par with TB, more power to you. Just shows how stats can be used to provide personal narrative. I'll stick with the obvious... and FS1 helped illuminate that last night.

The other is in charge of developing young men’s skills and shaping their lives. And we aren’t winning. So why is that? Why can a team like Colorado destroy us on our home court?

I actually think there IS talent on this team....but they look afraid and tight.....some of these guys actually seem to have regressed, which is alarming. Tinkle seems to be particularly hard on Kelly. I get it......it is frustrating that he seems not to play to his physical potential....but whatever Tinkle is doing with him, it's not working.
I'm starting also to wonder- and I'll probably get roasted for this- if we won't be better off once Tres is gone. It seems like more and more he's trying to 'get his', and or force the action, falling all over the ground, leading to turnovers and run outs....and honestly I can't remember the last time he made a clutch 3 pointer when we really needed it, or a game winner. I know he has, but it's been a while. In a strange irony, I think even Tres himself would be a better player on a different team. The father-son dynamic there I think ultimately hinders both him AND the team chemistry, if that makes any sense.
I think we're also seeing how much we miss Stevie Thompson. Some were relentlessly hard on him on this board the last couple years, but he was by far our best shooter.

Hmm, wonder what ESPNU illuminated on Jan. 5, when Colorado blew an 11-point lead and its head coach looked completely, totally befuddled and powerless to change anything while being outscored by 19 points in the final seven minutes on its home court?

Unfortunately that's all your opinion. The FS1 mic'd and cameras are a bit more objective. But, go ahead and say/excuse what everyone saw. The team melted down in accordance with what their HC did. But, again not here to change minds. And, you'll not change many after last night's performance... on the court and the bench.

Him pointing out the score and situation of last game against Colorado isn’t opinion or subjective. What is subjective is what you keep calling fact. I watched the game and thought Tinkle was fine, maybe not my style or the best coach ever but fine. Both coaches yelled at the refs, both questioned their players. To say that this game shows how unfit Tinkle is, is the definition of opinion. And for someone who claims he was at the game you sure know a lot, both during the game and now about what happened on the broadcast. I’ve long though you a fraud for some inconsistencies between being at the game and also posts in game threads about things on the broadcast and this doesn’t do anything to change my opinion of your phoniness

With that in mind, let's help you out... ... the post of score and time was in response to the type of coach/coaches. Him attempting to downgrade Boyle and his coaching. Yet, 20 Ws, leading the Pac12, better recruits, almost certain NCAA invitee (5th). Hence the opinion... stating time, score, players not breaking the press is the only gage. Of course then with that take, you'd have to a ask, which coach has truly improved their team? Try keeping up. And, again if that's the coach you want, like, think will lead OSU to a higher level... more power to you. PS- being at the game you see more than cameras at times. And posters here texts filled me in on what viewers at home saw. Pretty simple concept! Thought you'd get "simple".

Wonder away...a lot of people have speculated how the Tinkles and the Thompsons have affected the dynamics and chemistry of the team. I am very curious to see how Tinkle coaches without his son and the Thompsons. The question now is whether there will be talent to go anywhere when the current era of sons on the roster ends. We don't even know if Coach Tinkle will survive that long...

I’m glad you’re not here to change anyone’s mind because you’re never changing mine that you’re a fake ass know it all that treats the Benny’s house message board as his super bowl
