Tonight, I was a duck fan. Yeah, it is a lesser of two evils, but Geno is something else. I will say something positive about Geno though. This year he is taking on Baylor, Oregon, and South Carolina. That is a fierce OOC. I try to actually root for the ducks sometimes in most sports, but once the games start, I fail miserably. I just can’t. What I will say is the logical part of me wanted them to smash UConn just to reinforce that the PAC 12 is the toughest conference. There is no getting around how talented Graves’ group is, and like other sports I never have trouble acknowledging a good team. I don’t have to like them or abide the methods that they employ, but I will always give credit where it’s due.

"Yeah cuz "laying an egg" means "luck"! Grab a seat and take notes, cuz you seem to be clueless." Oh, so you are saying that the Duck's "laying an egg" would be because of the Beav's fantastic defense? Sorry, I misunderstood you. My apologies.

When teams lay an egg it usually is, at least partly, due to the play of the other team. OSU missed some very easy open gimmes vs a couple teams, but the opponent did take advantage. If one team plays below par, or poorly, the other has to be able to take advantage of it.

What's even more interesting I thought Oregon actually played well below their usual level. Sabrina was very sloppy and didn't really light up the scoreboard. Ruthy Hebard and Sabally cleaned up though.

Worst loss at Gambel arena ever by U-Conn team. First loss at home since January of 2016. Baylor game was not on campus. The broadcast stated they hadn’t lost at home since 2013

I will never watch or root for them. I will say they are loaded. They will bring in 5 players that are very good.We bring in 1. Their problem will always be attrition and if that works for them than they will be tough for a long time. They recruit like UConn did for over a decade. We must play more people and no mistakes in recruiting. This is a tall order. We still have not displaced Stanford let alone our Rival. We are about a final 16 Team with 2 teams being final 4 level and one of those teams drastically superior to the other.

I grew up in Connecticut, and my sister went to UConn and has been a big fan of their basketball teams over the years. She no longer lives there, but I can report that she has been very realistic about this team from the start -- she thought they were a Top 10 team that would not match up with the best teams in the country. I was texting her last night before and during the game -- she was not optimistic, and she believed (and still believes) that Oregon is the best team in the country. I agree.
