Sounds like another excuse to me. We have more cash that WSU. But they beat us in both major sports this year. So you have the money? If not STFU You only have to have the $ to NOT buy season tix. Barnes could care less if someone showed up with $ to buy out WT's contract. If he thought it was a questionable situation he'd never have extended him.

I have the money and so do you. It's our money and Scott Barnes is in charge of spending it for us. You see he works for us - fans need to remind him of that every chance we get.
OSU leads the conference in the percentage of funds spent on administration at 50% of the budget. OSU's debt service is $7.5 million per year, less than the conference average and a lot less than Oregon's annual debt service of more than $18 million. So we are not hamstrung by debt.
OSU spends 26% of the budget on non-revenue sports while our Pac-12 competitors average 28%. Yet we spend less than our peers in the in the conference on the revenue sports - men's basketball and football. We are not too poor to compete!
If Tinkle is unable to demonstrate why he should be retained this season, then his contract should be terminated and we move on to a new coach with the attributes needed to be successful at OSU.

You think you’re season tix matters? I know you think you’re a big deal, but you’re not. Actually it's you who thinks they are a big deal. The vast majority of fans vote with $, those $ represented by tickets including season. Of course, like normal you're a little slow. My season tix weren't specifically mentioned. All fans have the same ability to vote, some more often than others. As pointed out by prof, you seem to know very little about which you speak. Inane comments with little viable input. But, you're consistent. Wish our team in the thread was.

OK spud, show me the cash. I’ll take the high road and chalk it up to a frustrating loss and alcohol. At least I hope alcohol was involved!

Biggest concern in this whole thread is that it's been 30 YEARS!!!!!! since the GPI days. It still amazes me that OSU was once the school with the 6th most MBB wins in program history. Period (or something like that) Jeezus I'm old.

Disappointing game. Disappointing road trip. Need to win both against No Cal teams. Split ain’t gonna cut it. Have to beat teams above us in standings.

I think we led the nation in wins at one time. We were definitely in the top 3.

The next stretch of games I had penciled in at 3-1 now looks like 0-4 or 1-3.....this year is a goner unless lineup changes can change the Beavers direction. Al and Zach need to come off the bench....

We were #1 in the 1960s. We were #3 for a long time. I don't remember being sixth. To start the season, we were the 24th-winningest basketball team. We have since passed Princeton. I believe that we are currently 23rd, but I am not 100%.

I expect that's primarily a case of our overall budget being smaller than every school except WSU. The smaller the budget, the larger the percentage of administrative costs. I really don't see a lot of fat in our athletic department.
