WT’s 6th year and no improvement! He isn’t the answer. Next year will get ugly when Tres and maybe ET are gone. I am glad that I didn’t watch today’s game. Too hard to watch. Let’s enjoy #8 WBB and baseball. Don’t tell me what to enjoy. I don’t enjoy WBB. Too hard to watch.

Switching to the end if the uo game.... Both washington schools got a packed house today. Would be nice to see that at Gill on occasion. I think our best attended game was 6k? For iowa state. And that was mainly cause of Dads weekend. Maybe the worst home court advantage in the PAC outside of stanford? It makes a big difference.

We are going nowhere...from this point forward, can we just start Hunt, ET and Miller-Moore (1-3 positions)...and push the damn ball up the court?

Let’s enjoy #8 WBB and baseball. not sure where ET would go? Europe...certainly not NBA. At this point, let's hope the Beavs can join the ranks of South Florida, North Texas and Wyoming (last 3 CBI CHAMPS), because Field of 64 and NIT are not calling unless things turn around in a hurry. Remember...COUNTING games in NCAA D-1 Baseball start in 26 days, 19 hours (and change) ....who knows? it might even be 70 degrees and sunny in Surprise AZ on Feb. 14.

This is quite frankly a bad team. I’ll always cheer them cause I’m a long term downtrodden fan. But at some point, we have to accept that changes need to be made. Sure we’ll go from mediocre to awful for a year or two, but maybe long term that’s what we need.

The issue goes far beyond the current coaching staff and roster. This is an institutional issue and the current team and staff are products of that. There's a long LONG history of futility in both major collegiate sports that has to be overcome. We can celebrate the successes of our minor sports all we want, but when it comes down to it no one outside of our little bubble cares. From a national perspective, the sports that matter and generate revenue are men's basketball and football. Until the AD/university figures that out then this is going to continue.

The university has changed presidents, ADs, coaches, and players for decades. The one constant is the fans - too many of us have low expectations and make excuses for poor performance. Too many fans say that we're too poor, too wet, too cold, too isolated, have no airport, no night life, don't cheat, etc. and otherwise just cannot compete to excuse the poor results.
If we don't demand better, we won't get better.

Tinkle has coached in 96 conference games to date in his 6th season. He's won 37 of them.
Robinson won 34 conference games out of 96 by this same point in his 6th season.
That's a whopping 3 conference game improvement over nearly 6 seasons. That's one-half of a conference win more per season than Robinson, who was fired.
The goodwill chip earned by his lone NCAA appearance was spent in offsetting his 5-win season, the lowest season win total in the last 100 years.
The ball is in Tinkle's court - he can use the remaining games this season to show us why he should be retained. That bar is set at a NCAA appearance or an NIT appearance followed with a deep run. Anything less is not enough.

Well the one thing is we do not have a real go to guy. Nonpritchard type. How can 7 foot Center have 3 rebounds.? Our Institution must provide the resources and vision to secede. Not really seeing it. Women’s basketball is close, but the sluggish offense Winn not sustain us. I hope Tomorrow’s Stanford game goes our way.

If we don't demand better, we won't get better. Another thing I agree with and I don't think was that clear in my previous post. As fans it does seem like we're happy with being good at niche sports. OSU fans are some of the most loyal fans and are not by any means fairweather, but it does seem like many are fairweather when it comes to different sports within our own university. So when it comes to baseball, women's basketball, gymnastics, etc., we have no problem supporting them but then are apathetic and have half empty stadiums in both the sports that bring in the bulk of the money and national exposure.
Plenty of places with similar limitations have had as much or A LOT more success than OSU and find ways around them. Oklahoma, Ok. State, Texas Tech, Syracuse, Michigan, Penn State, etc. are all located in small college towns. All of them have been far more successful than OSU in one or both major sports the last 20 years. Heck, even Washington State had a few periods of success in both basketball and football in the last 25 years. Football twice and they just retired probably their best basketball player ever today! I don't know if it was you, wilky, or someone else that posted the stat that OSU had the worst combined winning percentage of all power 5 schools in both sports in the last X years?
With both programs being in the state they have been it also doesn't help create new fans or lifelong fans from the current student body. Look how poor the student section has been in both sports the last couple of years when the university is at its peak as far as enrollment is concerned. The university and ASOSU are almost to the point of eliminating free student tickets and the student sections as we know them now entirely! This is something that needs to be fixed NOW or we're looking at a further 20+ years of the same old S#!T again.
