Like one AB or series tells the story. The kid's a stud. He was not even the best player on his own team last year. While he hit 23 balls over the fence and had a batting average of .353 he played in hitting friendly Tempe and he feasted on a pretty soft non conference schedule. He's also not so great in the field. Two years ago he came to Corvallis as a left fielder and went home three days later as a first baseman. While he is likely a top 10 pick in this years draft, we in Corvallis have seen greatest prospect of all time kind of talent and Torkelson falls short of that. The Devils moved from Packard to Phoenix Muni in 2015. Phoenix Muni is bigger than Goss. I am just curious. How is Phoenix Muni hitting friendly?

Come on, haven't you ever heard of "Torkelson's Pole"?

The dry air, the hard dirt, the heat. The distance of the fences isn't the only factor in making a field hitter friendly.
