For the first WBB exhibition game against Union on Sunday Oct 27, OSU says -
"FOLLOW ALONG: There will be no live stream, radio coverage or live stats for Sunday's exhibition matchup. Fans who are unable to attend the game can find live updates on Twitter, @beaverwbb."
If anyone is willing to live stream this game on Facebook or other service, your generosity would be greatly appreciated! (ditto for the exhibition game against Concordia on November 1!)

I was going to say the same thing. At the very least, for any who do attend, please give us a report here.

Let’s check with Janessa’s mom. We could all chip in for a nice dinner in exchange?

Request- Any chance you could do it again? Praise- Really looking forward to seeing Janessa play the 3 this year. Sweeten the pot- Here’s a gift card as a small token of our appreciation.

Preferably someone who knows her personally and knows she will be at the game (and will share her email address in a PM to others willing to pitch in if something like the giftrocket approach is used)

But, to me I want to watch my kid and her teammates not film for random fans. I'm not saying it is a rude request and maybe she enjoys it, but many parents would find it inappropriate. JMO

JMO Could very well be true in this case, but one can also find lots of examples on the internet of parents "filming" their kids playing in games and even practicing. Certainly they don't object to recording their kid and sharing it with friends as well as random folks on the internet.

In support of loyal fans who can't get to the game, something easy for an attendee to do would be to film the halftime highlights on the giant display hanging over the court. At halftime, there's not much to do, anyway. Record all the highlights they play at halftime and then put the video onto Google Drive or Youtube or somewhere. All it would take is a steady hand and a selfless, willing-to-please personality. Maybe Baseba1111 could volunteer? BeavSteve? It would be MUCH appreciated!

As someone who has filmed quite a bit, I can attest that it does interfere with the enjoyment of the game. But there are a lot of parents who will film every game their daughter plays in that would not otherwise be available. Having those films can be a real treasure with the passage of time.

How hard is it for the University to put an unofficial live stream up on Facebook - really? Just get one of the guys/gals who have access to do it on the side and we can shout them dinner at a place of their choice and maybe throw in a beer or 2 for a sweetener

Would, at least update... but bye week means Hawaii tomorrow thru the 1st.

The one huge difference, parents at OSU and most colleges can ask for game video from the basketball staff. They simply make copies.

"baseba1111" has regretfully declined the invitation to film the halftime highlights for the benefit of all, due to a prior commitment. However, "beavsteve", through his silence, has tacitly accepted responsibility for doing said chore for the benefit of all. Way to go beavsteve, and we all thank you for your resolute commitment to this effort! PS: You better make damn sure that your camera is in landscape orientation, zoomed in to exactly fill the screen. Also, locate yourself at right angles to the screen. If jostled, DO NOT allow your camera hand to waver, quiver, vibrate, or otherwise deviate from a dead-on angle to the screen. Ensure sufficient battery charge on your camera for the duration of the halftime highlights. Failure in any way could/will sully your reputation as a reliable videographer and as a righteous human being.
