My son has had 2 ACL surgeries and what I see, or think I see, in Kat is typical. Whenever possible she will land after a jump, or step into a shot, on her right leg first, making sure to NOT land on her left. I'm sure she is doing it out of safety or it's an unconscious reaction . Son played again after his but it takes time to "forget" about the leg and the involuntary reaction to protect it. In the video you can see that she "maybe" is not totally trusting it yet, it takes time. Of course the therapy folks could be telling her to protect it, or, maybe she always did it that way...Just something I noticed that looked familiar ...

Absolutely correct... she is definitely favoring it even on landings. The mental part is very tough and can lead to actually injuring the other knee/ankle. I'm sure the medical staff is on top of everything, but I know when they do rehab drills they carefully watch the overuse of the healthy "side". From this look just basic offensive drills are methodical and still favoring her leg. That is not even close to the unpredictability and movements required on defense. I'd be surprised to see her before January.

I will be happy to get her on the court any time this season, so the January prediction above would be welcomed by me.
