It's so frustrating watching games when the 'experts' don't see the obvious. In the Carolina-Tampa Bay game the Panthers had 4th and a half yard on the Buc 2 or 3 yard line and do a fake reverse with Christian McCaffery. He fakes the hand off and tries to beat the defense on the edge and doesn't make it. First off, why they didn't sneak Newton is a mystery and the announcers mentioned that. But, McCaffery had absolutely no vision on that play. If he would have cut back he would have walked into the end zone. The 'experts' failed to mention that. Guess they need to see the tape again. Anyway, just venting on how the 'experts' don't comment on the obvious.
Go Beavers!!!

Every one of his comments sounds like a soundbite for a video game. Tone deaf and color less. Even Jason Witten was a better story teller.

I just focus on looking at his grotesque finger-makes his words find of fade into the background.

Which the announcers also mentioned as the reason he could not cut back. www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2019091200/2019/REG2/buccaneers@panthers?icampaign=scoreStrip-globalNav-2019091200

Though last night it was Buck and Aikman on NFL network. Buck probably said "almost picked" 20 times between Jameis and Cam just air-mailing balls all over the place. That game was really horrible to watch. And the NFL adding the ability to challenge PI calls/non calls is going to make the end of an NBA game seem quick by comparison.

If he puts his foot in the ground a couple steps after the fake he could have matriculated right in there. That's how it looked from my couch anyway.

That's how it looked from my couch anyway. i dont think its realistic to expect him to do something ad hoc there. You practice the footwork on a play so you can do it full speed the same way every time. Yeah maybe if it was a designed option play he could have taken a jab step and then kept on going but that clearly wasnt the design of the play But your point about why they at least dont go under center with Fig Newton. What was newton even doing on that play? Just standing behind the tackle. What a stupid call. Panters are a horrible franchise and they are riding mccaffrey like a rented mule. His 2-3 year all pro window totally wasted. He's a helluva back.
