Figured I'd compile a little list of some of the details of what teams in the Pac-12 will return, lose, and add. This edition includes the first six alphabetic teams -- currently working on the other six. I'm sure there are a lot of mistakes , so please help by pointing any out!
***Also, for points returning, I used the equation (total points returning/games) and (total points returning/total points), instead of just adding up PPG.***
Arizona
- Returns: Basically everything. Returns a Pac-12 best 95% of their PPG, bringing back 65 PPG, highlighted by Aari McDonald's 24.1 PPG and Cate Reese's 11.8 PPG. Reese could have a breakout sophomore season.
- Loses: Destiny Graham, a 6-3 bench player who averaged 3.1 PPG and 3.0 RPG.
- Adds: Five freshmen (all foreign) from Latvia, Iceland, Turkey, Australia, and Spain. A pair of PG transfers in Shaina Pellington from Oklahoma (who will sit out) and Amari Carter from Penn State (9.8 PPG) (grad transfer)
Arizona State
- Returns: A pair of seasoned starters in Robbi Ryan and Reili Richardson, and a few sophomores who could make a big jump (Iris Mbulito and Taya Hanson). They return just 30 PPG and 46% of last years scoring output.
- Loses: A lot in Kianna Ibis, Courtney Ekmark, Charnea Johnson-Chapman, and Sophia Elenga (3 starters and 4 of their top 5 scorers). Will be interesting to see them replace Ibis and Ekmark.
- Adds: A very solid freshman class with 5'7 Finnish PG Sara Bejedi, 5'11" 5* Wing Eboni Walker, and guard from NJ Sydnei Caldwell. They also add USC grad-transfer 6-3 F Ja'Tavia Tapley who started a lot of USC's games.
California
- Returns: A starter in Jaelyn Brown who averaged 5.3 PPG, and some bench role players in CJ West, Alaysia Styles, and Mo Mosley. Just 14 PPG and 19% of their PPG, both worst in the Pac-12
- Loses: Pretty much everything. Kristine Anigwe, Asha Thomas, and Recee Caldwell graduated while Kianna Smith and McKenzie Forbes transferred -- that quintet made up 5 of their top 6 scorers while scoring 80% of their points and playing 76% of the minutes. They also lose former HC Gottlieb.
- Adds: They may get Mi'Cole Cayton back from injury, she has missed all but 4 games over two years, but had a solid freshman season in 16-17 --a bit of a mystery. They added freshmen Leilani McIntosh, Cailyn Crocker, Jazlen Green, and Lutje Schipholt. None were highly ranked top-100 recruits, so unless they found a diamond in the rough, they may not have a freshman who can help offset the losses. They also add a new HC in former assistant Charmin Smith.
Colorado
- Returns: They return a pair of full-time starters in Quinessa Caylao-Do and Mya Hollingshed, who were their third and fourth leading scorers last season, as well as three other players who have started 9 or more games. They return their third through seventh top scorers — 43 PPG and 67% of their scoring.
- Loses: They lose their two leading scorers and arguably their best playmakers in Kennedy Leonard and Alexis Robinson, who averaged 12.6 and 12.2 PPG, and they will be tough to replace. A pair of bench-role players transferred, but not huge losses.
- Adds: They add four freshmen, Zuzanna Kulinska, Maura Singer, Raanee Smith, and Jaylyn Sherrod, none of which were highly ranked, but may be expected to help make an impact.
Oregon
- Returns: The ducks return a lot, four starters and their four leading scorers from a high-powered offense, the quartet of Sabrina Ionescu, Satou Sabally, Ruthy Hebard, and Boley scored 76% of their points. They also bring back Taylor Chavez, their first guard off the bench. They return a Pac-12 best 71 PPG and 83% of their scoring.
- Loses: They lose starting PG Maite Cazorla, who averaged 9.7 PPG, who might be tougher than many think to replace. They also lose Oti Gildon, who provided them with solid PF minutes off the bench.
- Adds: They add grad-transfer PG Minyon Moore from USC, who will step in and take Maite’s place and provide the ducks a different look, and they also add a 4-player freshmen class of international players, 6’5 Nyara Sabally, 6’5 Lucy Cochrane, 5’9 Jazmin Shelley, and 5’10 Holly Winterburn. The freshmen should make solid depth, but won’t be asked to make an impact with what they return. Former top-10 recruit 6-7 F Sedona Prince will also be applying for a waiver after missing all of last season at Texas due to a broken leg.
Oregon State
- Returns: The beavers bring back their three leading scorers in Destiny Slocum, Mikayla Pivec, and Aleah Goodman, plus full time starter Taya Corosdale and Maddie Washington who started 19 games. They return 56 PPG (third best in the Pac-12), 75% of their output from last season. Trish Morris will look to make a big jump.
- Loses: They lose starter Katie McWilliams, who averaged 7.4 PPG but was known for her defense and 6-8 Jo Grymek. Both played big roles last season, but the beavs have the piece returning to mask the losses for the most part.
- Adds: The Beavs add a lot to a strong group of returnees, led by Kat Tudor who scored 12.3 PPG on 47% 3FG before going down early in the season. 6-9 Andrea Aquino is still in question, but adding talent in Kennedy Brown, Taylor Jones, and Jelena Mitrovic, all big posts to help at the 5.

Southern Cal
- Returns: Just three players from last year’s team - Kayla Overbeck (6.9 PPG), Shalexxus Aaron (6.6 PPG), and Desiree Caldwell (3.1 PPG) return, that trio accounting for 23% of their scoring last year, and 16.6 PPG, both are second-worst in the Pac-12.
- Loses: A lot. They lose their three leading scorers in Minyon and Mariya Moore and Aliyah Mazyck (the latter two to graduation), a trio that combined for about 55% of their scoring, as well as starter Ja’Tavia Tapley and reserves Asiah Jones and Jillian Archer to transfer - Cheyenne Wallace also graduated.
- Adds: Lucky for them, they bring in a highly touted freshmen class, ranked #5 in the nation, including three 5*s - 5-7 PG Endyia Rogers, 6-5 C Angel Jackson, and 6-0 PF (emphasis on power) Alissa Pili, plus 4* Kyra White and a few more 3*. They also bring in a grad-transfer from UNC, sharp-shooting guard Stephanie Watts.
Stanford
- Returns: Stanford returns a lot of key pieces from their 18-19 team, bringing back DiJonai Carrington and Kiana Williams who averaged 14.3 and 14.0 PPG plus the Hull twins, Maya Dodson, Anna Wilson, and Alyssa Jerome among a few others all of which started multiple games. They bring back 53 PPG and 70% of their scoring, both are about in the middle of the Pac-12.
- Loses: They lose do-it-all 6-4 F Alanna Smith, their leading scorer and rebounder at 19.4 PPG and 8.6 RPG, and a role player in 6-5 C Shannon Coffee.
- Adds: They add the consensus #2 recruiting class in the nation, headlined by four 5*s #1 Haley Jones, 6-1 F Fran Belibi, 6-5 P Ashten Prechtel, and sharp shooting Hannah Jump. They also return 6-3 F Nadia Fingall from injury, who was fourth on the team in PPG before going down with an ACL.
UCLA
- Returns: UCLA returns three of their top five scorers (all starters) in Michaela Onyenwere (18.3 PPG and 8.5 RPG), Japreece Dean (14.1 PPG, 4.9 APG) and Lindsey Corsaro (7.9 PPG). They also return 6-1 G Chantel Horvat, who played just nine games all season, after missing games in the beginning and end of the year. They return 47 PPG and 64% of their points from last season.
- Loses: They lose a pair of key starters in 6-1 G Kennedy Burke (15.4 PPG) and 6-1 F Lajahna Drummer (9.0 PPG and 8.6 RPG), both of which provided length and athleticism at the 3 and 4 spots. 5-9 Freshman G Ahlana Smith is also transferring, she was mostly a reserve last season, but may have taken on a bigger role.
- Adds: They add a solid freshmen class (second best in the Pac-12) of McDAA PGs 5-6 Jaden Owens and 5-9 Charisma Osborne, plus 6-2 W Brynn Masikewich and 5-11 G Camryn Brown. 6-1 G Natalie Chou, a Baylor transfer and former McDAA is also eligible.
Utah
- Returns: The Utes return a full-time starter in guard Dru Gylten, who averaged 8.8 PPG and 5.5 APG as a freshman, as well as 5-7 G Kiana Moore who started in 17 games. They also return a pair of 6-2 Forwards in Canadian sophomores Andrea Torres and Niyah Becker, both will likely be asked to make big jumps. They will return 33 PPG and 44% of last years total scoring.
- Loses: The Utes lose the versatile 6-4 F Megan Huff who led the team in scoring and rebounding at 19.4 PPG and 9.9 RPG and 5-8 PG Erika Bean who averaged 6.7 PPG, 5.7 APG, and 4.9 RPG to graduation. The Utes took a huge hit when Pac-12 FOY 6-2 F Dre’Una Edwards transferred to Kentucky after averaging 11.6 PPG and 6.7 RPG.
- Adds: Potentially their biggest addition is Daneesha Provo, who will return after playing 13 games then tearing ACL, but averaged 13.5 PPG before going down. Maurane Corbin, a 6-5 C also returns after missing all of last season with an injury. Utah also adds a solid recruiting class in a pair of 6-0 guards Brynna Maxwell and 5* Kemery Martin (extremely talented and former Beaver target), and 6-4 F Lola Pendande who played HS with Aquino. A pair of mid-major transfers in Julie Brosseau and Ola Makurat from Maine and Liberty will also be eligible, while a UTEP transfer will sit. Lots of additions and question marks for the Utes.
Washington
- Returns: UW returns their four leading scorers, including their leading scorer and go-to player Amber Melgoza, who averaged 18.1 PPG and Missy Peterson who averaged 9.4 PPG and caught fire against the Beavs. 6-4 Darcy Rees and 6-1 Mai-Loni Henson round out the top returnees from a team that returns all but two players and 54 PPG and a second-best 85% of their scoring.
- Loses: Gone is 6-1 F Hannah Johnson, who started nine games and averaged 4.8 PPG and 5-6 G Jenna Moser who started every game and scored 5.7 PPG and 2.6 APG. Former McDAA Deja Strother is also off the roster, she medically retired last season after missing all of 2017-18.
- Adds: They add a decent freshmen class, no top-100 players, but a pair of 6-3 F in Ali Bamberger and JaQuaya Miller and 5-11 G Nia Lowery. They also add a JUCO transfer in 5-9 Russian Rita Pleskevich who averaged 19.8 PPG at Broward College.
Washington State
- Returns: Back for their RS SR and SR seasons at Wazzu are their top two scorers, Borislava Hristova (19.9 PPG) and Chanelle Molina (15.9 PPG, 5.1 APG). Ula Motuga, Shir Levy, and Michaela Jones will likely be asked to contribute more after each making a few starts as freshman.
- Loses: Gone are the third and fourth leading scorers, sharp-shooting Alexys Swedlund and 6-4 C Maria Kostourkova, who averaged 11.0 and 6.0 PPG respectively.
- Adds: They add a four-player class, including three players with international experience, 5-10 Leah Mafua from New Zealand, Australian 6-3 C Emma Nankervis, and Rwandan 6-5 C Bella Murekatete join Grace Sarver, a 5-8 G from Seattle.
