Perhaps an opponent: Eurobasket: B&P AUTORICAMBI COSTA MASNAGAOne of their players tweeted this in response to a video of our practices: A pair of USA players in Reyna Frost (who was a senior at CMU this season, very talented 6-0 forward) Jori Davis who played at Indiana and is now 30.

It sounds like our walk on point guard might be a potential contributor. That can only be a good thing.

When a walk on contributes it's always a two-sided coin:
(1) We located a player whose offense is so good and her defence is so solid that she represents an improvement over the current players on our team; (2) We located an unranked player with no scholarship, no team to play for, and she's as good as our starters. ------ I'm really glad to hear that Coach is upbeat about her promise as a player and her advanced skills for a walk on. In all fairness, however, when have you ever heard coach not be upbeat about any of his players? He's loyal, and he's and supportive, and his players love him for it. But it's damn near impossible to build a scouting report on anything he says about any of his players when he's on camera.... GO BEAVS !!

GO BEAVS !! Especially important when talking about a walk on! But, SR is always positive without seeming to blow smoke. As KT gets in shape/game clearance she will see minutes in the OOC games. Who knows, a diamond no one else was willing to take a chance on? More than likely a chance for her to play great basketball, get coached up, and eventually transfer and play a lot at a smaller school... or not??!

GO BEAVS !! Oh, come on, 411500! That she can help this team does not mean that "she represents an improvement over the current players on our team" or "that she's as good as our starters". Nuts, kid. All it means is that she can fulfill a useful role. There's no way that you can conclude her adoption means she's better than Slocum or Goodman. It does likely imply that we have a SHORTAGE of good, energetic ball handling guards who can hit a 3-point shot, and that she can help out, if not in games then at least in practice. You said "improvement over THE current players". If you had said SOME current players, then you could have been making a valid point, since looking at her video it's clear she may be a better ball-handler or shooter than some non-starters.

Andrea confirmed on her Instagram she will be traveling to Italy. Traveling is good. Real question is if she will be able to play, if so then that is great!

My wife and I saw some of the young ladies at Old Spaghetti Factory last night (prepping for Italy with Italian food?) - I would posit from the way Jalena made her way down the (few) stairs there that I doubt we are going to learn very much about her game in Italy. I sure hope AA can play, but this year there are several bigs in the wings just waiting to start on their journey to superstardom..... FloHoops or some outfit like that ought to consider streaming a feed from Italy, would certainly get a couple hundred Beaver fans who are really looking forward to the season to pony up for a blurry stream and foreign language commentating (OK, maybe just me . Go Beavers!

Go Beavers! I noticed she sat out of the team jet skiing activity, so I figured it was rather unlikely that she will be playing. I know Oregon State WBB facebook livestreamed the games in Hawaii last year. I really wish they would do that or periscope this year. I sure would be watching. Maybe we at least get a box score.

Count me as one of those hoping the program will figure out some way to deliver basic info on the games played in Italy....
Even if live streaming is not in the works, it certainly would be easy to arrange for someone to dash off a one or two paragraph summary at halftime and then again at the end of the game... Snapshot of the boxscore is easy to arrange, and for those of us who follow the game around Beaver Nation, quite informative.... Any number of people on the trip could easily handle this assignment, and quite a bit more......So, hopefully, someone is on this.... GO BEAVS !!

The Hawaii games were counting non-conference games. They went into the W-L record. These practice games in Italy don't. If they don't live-stream practices or scrimmages in Corvallis, I highly doubt they'll expend the time and energy to do it from Italy.

Yeah, it’s highly unlikely, but a few schools have done it, so maybe!
