Well, then, why, pray tell, do we toot our horn about going to the sweet sixteen four years in a row? Or finishing number 2 in the nation a few years ago - bad thing? Keep it hushed up, and hope nobody notices?
We're not recruiting against just Oregon. There are hundreds of schools playing D! basketball, and we draw more fans than all but 15 of them. I sure think that's something to point out to anybody we can, along with the fact that we led the conference 4 years in a row.

I'll be called "negative....", but the women's attendance #s are a bit skewed. They have several "event" games that fill the gym with very cheap/free tix. Bodies are there, but not high revenue and those games raise those averages quite a bit. MBB seems to think that is beneath their "product" to fill the gym and possibly build a new fan base. You are so negative baseballll. Lol I know you were expecting negativity heading your way and I couldn't disappoint! π 1111 .....negative ?? .... tell me itβs not true. π

The thing that I notice about women's nasketball is that there is not a large presence of OSU students. Lots of gray hairs. Lots of young families, but the student attendance that so inflates the men's games figures just isn't present. I attend several women's games a year and focus on the games so I could well be wrong.

I go to all of the games and I think your assessment is pretty accurate for the entire season. Maybe the Oregon game was an exception. There are certainly students at all of the games, but not that many, at least from my perspective. It is a puzzle to me.

I was told by an OSU student that there isn't a student area set aside just for students. Anyone know if that is true? There certainly was a student section in my day, but that was in the previous millennium.

I attend all the home games and have never seen any student section other than the band. Agree 100% with what has been stated by others - an awful lot of the fans in attendance started playing basketball when Eisenhower was in the White house. Sure are loud for a bunch of old farts though!
