If that ain’t seat of the pants..... I don’t know what is ... yea, big balls. And I’m sure they loved it..... going into space....... in a tin can.... with a pocket calculator leading the way..... I remember watching it , B&W..... being a little rug rat.... I kinda knew it was a big deal.... but not really.
The gravity (ha! ..... pun ) of it all now on what they did....
THAT WAS SOME AWESOME s%#t !!
...... We could use a little more of that attitude today......

Houston, the Eagle has landed. And, Uncle Walter takes of his readers and his expression was you couldn't tell if he was extremely happy or was going to cry. Or both. That man loved the space shots.

RIP Chris Kraft. Passed at age 95 two days after 50th anniversary. Original Mission Control officer and flight director for the Mercury and Gemini flights. Set the culture for NASA control room. Stood over Gene Krantz shoulder during the entire Apollo 13 adventure helping out which Krantz himself hailed. Named the room after him. Our space program wouldn't be what it is without him. America just lost a great one.
