www.cnn.com/2019/06/20/us/tampa-bay-rays-montreal/index.htmlThere is nothing in the article but I wonder why no team is looking at Mexico City. I think the per capita GDP is near US standards. And there are something like 15M people who live there. I have spent a lot of time in Puebla (about 90 minutes by car from CDMX) and Volkswagon has but billions of dollars into that city.

Putting a MLB franchise in Tampa was STUPID. June-September is the rainy season. Rains over half the day every month and monthly rainfall totals are 6.5-7.5 inches a month. These are not Willamette Valley summer drizzles, it is freaking RAIN. BTW, summer weather in Montreal is better than Tampa. Less rain. Temps well into the 70s'. Montreal is a tad north of Salem, south of Woodburn.

Oh, I don't know, mass murders, kidnappings, armed robberies, corrupt police departments, smog, elevation. Those type of things...

once you get past the logistics of players having to have 2 places to live for their families, schools for their kids, expected players union opposition, support staff in both cities, getting out of their current lease (8 yrs remaining!) in Tampa, still no longer term stadium solution in either city - it totally makes sense. Actually if they bring back these terrible old Expos unis - I'm all in.

At least those are belted pants and button up shirts. Lots of teams during that era wore the pull on unis.

I never saw the entire logo as a capital "M". But then sometime later I was told the e and b were expos baseball. Maybe even "expos le baseball". Also the owner was Edgar M Bronfman. The e and b with big M in the middle.
