I noticed that during the baseball game, you replied to my post in which I complained that the team isn't gelling. So perhaps I am one of those whom you are addressing with your question. OK, I'll bite. .... If there were no internet, I wouldn't bother expressing my concerns about the baseball team. No one else around me watches Beaver Baseball as passionately as I do. So what would be the point? I did see your post on the baseball board as I was starting this thread on the basketball board, but your post did not motivate me to do it. My post really was motivated by the Trailblazer board I went to during a game to try to get caught up on what was happening. The group there was disturbingly negative (IMO) and I really did wonder where they used to hang out together during games before the Internet.
I think I understand now that message boards give passionate fans a place to hang together during games, even when they would normally be by themselves. So, we get posts from those passionate fans during games -- some negative, some positive.
As far as your post (and my reply) on the baseball board, I felt (hope) that we were both reasonable in our opinion and both tried to do more than just say "you're wrong". I had no problem with your post and I hope you didn't mind the reply I gave in which I tried to do more than just say "look at the record" (although that was my final conclusion).

The funny thing about my post is that everyone is right. Not only am I right--the team is struggling for consistency--but the other side is right too--the record shows the Beavs are doing what it takes to win. It is interesting though to see how few posts a runaway baseball/basketball game gets compared to a close match. But I guess that's sorta natural.
