Not that it matters much, but Taylor is from Fremont, Nebraska (right on the border with Iowa) not Wisconsin. Here is a quote from her regarding recruiting... “I don’t really have a size or distance factor,” McCabe said. “I am just really looking for good people, a good culture, a built program and somebody that wants me.”I've been told Iowa and Caitlin Clark who she is friends with are in a good spot in her recruitment right now. Thank you for pointing that out. The OSU invasion of the midwest had me all messed up. Sounds like she attends the same HS as Jessica Shepard, who appears to be good friends with an OSU player as she was in Corvallis a few days ago. Talia von Oelhoffen, a long with a few 2022 recruits (Mara Braun, Taylor McCabe, and Raegan Beers) will all be playing in the Nike TOC Des Moines this weekend, and Kampschroeder will be in Des Moines the next. The dates for the next sessions here in Des Moines are July 16-19 and then again 23-26. Some great talent coming in. On Taylor's team they are lead by Hannah Stuelke '22 and Sydney Affolter '21. Both are committed to Iowa but Stuelke is really blowing up this summer expect her to be top 20 in her class, she is top 40 right now.

Taylor McCabe has been off to a great start at Des Moines thus far, leading All Iowa Attack EYBL in scoring in both of their wins yesterday.
In the 88-34 win over Wheat State Elite, she had 15 points (5-6 3FG), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.
In an 82-52 win over Next Level Eclipse, she scored 18 points (7-10 FG, 4-7 3FG), 5 assists, and 2 rebounds.

This picture makes it look like she may need to add a little muscle. Interesting to see the offers going out of 2022's.

Lily Hansford now holds offers from the following eight schools: Colorado, Green Bay, Illinois, Oregon State, Pennsylvania, Providence, Saint Louis and St. Thomas.
An interesting collection of schools. OSU is the only perennial top-25 team on the list, so it'll be interesting to see what other schools offer Lily. She picked up six of the eight offers in July, so it appears her stock is rising. Regardless, OSU really likes her combination of size and shooting ability on the wing. I could see her playing a role similar to Kat Tudor. She'll have to continue to fill out her frame and get stronger in order to have an impact in the Pac-12.

She reminds me of Syd Wiese, especially her step-back 3-pointer. She may still be growing as well, and could be 6' 3" or 6' 4" when she arrives to college.

Oregon State did not make Betts’ top-9:

Oregon State did not make Betts’ top-9: Yes, kind of disappointing....hope she doesn't pick Oregon of course...then I hope she does not pick (in order of disapproval): Baylor, Stanford, Notre Dame, UCONN, Louisville, South Carolina, UCLA, and ASU. Not sure why Oregon State did not make the cut, but her top 9 includes 7 of the top 10 teams in the country, with Ucla and ASU being the outliers. They probably are the only 2 on her list with the least amount of buzz as far as winning a National Championship within the next 2-6 years. I don't like the idea of her being at ASU or UCLA either, but I still find them less objectionable than any of the others which are really loaded/loading up on top players.

Too bad OSU missed out on Betts, but CR and company really need to start cycling back to recruiting bigs starting in 2022-2023.

I never expected Betts to pick the Beavs, but it would be nice to make her top 10. Oh well. I'm not sure I have any information to back it up, but I believe Raegan Beers may be the Beavs main 'big' target. They may be after Kennedy Basham as well, but I've seen no evidence yet of an offer.
With AAU tournaments taking place these last few weeks, there have been a number of new 2022 and 2023 targets that are showing up on the Beavs radar, and it would be nice to keep landing them early as they did with Adlee Blacklock.

They've been a solid program for a a while, but they've really stepped up the last couple years and recruiting seems to have really taken a jump as well. Maybe Caitlin Clark will really propel them forward like a certain player who played just down the road from Corvallis.

Very good addition for Iowa — she shoots it very well. With McCabe off the board, Hansford, Braun, and Wenzel seem to be the most likely candidates to join the 2022 class.

Article on Kennedy Basham: arizonapreps.com/kennedy-basham-is-different-receives-ucla-offer/“Basham has seen her college recruitment absolutely take off during the COVID-19 layoff months, while coaches have looked to position themselves early in her college recruitment. On Friday, Basham received another big offer for herself from UCLA. The skilled post prospect also recently received offers from Oregon, Colorado, Kansas, Pennsylvania, Georgetown and Loyola Marymount, to go with her existing offers from Utah and Vanderbilt. She is also receiving strong interest from such programs as Arizona State, USC, Oregon State, Washington, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Kansas State, Louisville, Baylor and Princeton, just to name a few and with many more college programs emerging.”

Oregon State did not make Betts’ top-9: I really have nothing to say. I'm just hoping tagging on to this lengthy picture of Lauren Betts will get us to page 8, and I won't have to scroll all that way down in order to read a relevant post. Yes, kind of disappointing....hope she doesn't pick Oregon of course...then I hope she does not pick (in order of disapproval): Baylor, Stanford, Notre Dame, UCONN, Louisville, South Carolina, UCLA, and ASU.
