I can see SR going small at times to mix it up (particularly if a team goes smaller and is causing problems with defensive speed), but you don't recruit top-size and not try to utilize it. Even if the new bigs are coming along slowly, SR will want to invest in the young bigs with play time sooner than later. I don't believe a small lineup ist one that will challenge the top-tier teams, and that's the end game. I believe SR will sacrifice wins this year (meaning not always utilize the most polished talent on the floor as possible) in an effort to get to a true title contender in the next two years.

Fun to go back and see discussion from Summer 2018.
This one starts with a nary a mention of Maddie Washington...Then, as it progresses MW makes an appearance, but never to the point where there's a hint that she could be STARTING at the "5" when the PAC-12 season opens....let alone grab 10 rebounds in her first PAC-12 start.
The team website lists her as a Guard-Forward at 6'1". Is she only 6' 1" ??
