It was pretty good until the first time they left State off of Oregon State (in the video titling annotations).
Then they repeated the the error, again ... and it became unwatchable (and stupid).
Fail.

The two players interviewed at the end...easy to say this with 20/20 hindsight, but their backs look broken after that loss.

It makes their reporter look like a complete fool. I figured it was bootlegged off a satellite feed but it’s the station’s YouTube post. Maybe someone on production crew has it in for this guy. Very Giansantesque. |

All things considered that isn't that bad. If it had been me on camera I don't think I could refrain from swearing and screaming in that situation. I would have been a hell of a lot worse.

The reporter was fine, he had it right. It would have been better with no subtitles instead of the wrong name. Twice. |

"Holy Jumping Up and Down Martha!" BeavaBleeda was drinking cocktails with that Arkansas sports reporter at an Omaha airport bar as we waited for our flights home. Nice kid. Omaha was a blast! RWG flew down very last minute Monday afternoon and arrived late, had to fly through Chicago and pay almost a "dimer" for the flights. I was lucky enough not to miss Game1 as it was rain delayed. I made it to all three games, sitting in section 322 Game1, centerfield outfield in epic Game2, and 102 in Game3. Bleeda was in the eye of the storm for the epic second game. It was a sea of over 5,000 red clad Arkansas fans and about 12 Beaver fans. This did not phase me as I ran my mouth, cheered for the Orange and black, and just amplified my voice X 10 to keep pace with the Razerbacks. They heckled a bit, but I weathered their jabs. With two outs in the 9th the 'SAS fans had their camera phones out hoping to video a historic championship, but the foul ball drops and the momentum switches gears as the 'Backs unravel. A dude from Iowa wearing orange and a Beaver hat (girlfriend was from Oregon seemed to be only connection) almost got his ass kicked by a mean semi-pro baseball coach 'Razorbutt. Man in red got up in his grill as he thinked the Beav called him a pussey, but the fact of the matter was that name calling was directed to his 17year old son (who he was buying beers for), who was wearing red and not really jumping on the Beaver bandwagon. Anyhow, most Arkansas fans were disgraced by the incident. Razorbutt's wife was getting two beers, but a handful of their kids were in the row below us. No punches were thrown and drunk Iowa guy left the section for a timeout. Bleeda was there to break up the possible fight, but it could of got ugly because one gangster vs. 5,000 Razerbutts prolly isn't a fair fight. Grandma' and the orange crew crushed the sportsbooks with the Beaver win. We danced on cash, partied till the sun came up, and flew home with smiles. BLEED IT!  -rwg |

I enjoyed it - not for the obvious reasons, but because it is an honest retrospective, and well, it's baseball and live sports reporting. |

Yeah, I was pretty intoxicated and my memory is a bit hazy, but I do recall that as one of the chants. I had a couple chants I yelled solo in the dangerous red sea. When their 2nd baseman Shaddy came up to bat, I yelled "Shewdy Showddy Schucks!". It's one of my favorite quotes from the Richard Linklater cult classic Slacker 1992. I got some smiles and most Razerbacks were a bit clueless with my material and I'm pretty sure they didn't like it much. They did respect my fearless Beaver passion though. Many said "good game" afterwards and respected me for sitting in the outfield bleachers with the intense Razerbacks. Resident Wise Guy 4 life! Bleed orange and black till I die. -Bleeda |
