I love Raegan's Dad. That guy is intense! had to look it up, but yeah, he's in the right profession: "father, Ike, is a police sergeant for the city of Lakewood, Colorado."

Pretty entertaining finish. Texas A&M has a lot of talent for an 11-seed. Barker, Rogers, and Coulibaly are an impressive trio. Solid length and athleticism. They’re one of, if not the, worst three point shooting teams in the tournament, so I’d assume OSU may try to pack it in. Interesting to see A&M’s complete inability to execute anything resembling a play or set on their last 2 possessions. We’re accustomed to seeing OSU at least create a decent shot under similar circumstances. The last inbound with 1.7 seconds remaining was pretty good. TAM player had a wide open 3-ptr that looked like it was going in for the game winning shot, but was wide left by about two feet. Looked similar to the last play of the UCLA game when TVO made the game-winner.

Shuler and Blacklock get on the board down the stretch. It was mostly Paurova, but 28 points from the bench is nice. Thats countered by a total lack of scoring with the starters. If it wasnt for beers and Dom they might have beat us. Even gardiner seemed to struggle but we did d need her 12 points 7 rebounds.

Seemed like no matter who started and no matter who came off the bench, scoring among starters was always a bit of a problem, and the bench always bailed them out.

Maybe it's that there's less pressure coming off the bench, so they are more relaxed when shooting?

Bench only scored 28 points. Not sure the numbers but I don't think the bench out scored the starters in that many games. It just feels that way.
Personally I think reason the bench scores a lot of points is that the Beavs have 10 players that could be starters. Rueck just needs to find the hot hands and then stick with them. In the past he either stuck with the starters or went back to them even to soon, something that drove me crazy.

Gardiner is too much of a catch and shoot player on offense, particularly from 3. Although she is clearly a good scorer, I think she is potentially a very dynamic offensive player who is really just broken through the surface. I'm hoping that someone on the staff is able to really work with her on that part of the game, which is very much a mental approach. I would like to see her create offense by attacking the basket more and playing to her midrange game more as well.

Ron Callan was just on the telecast talking to Mike Parker during the baseball game and he said Raegan was a full go at practice with no ill effects on the ankle.

They wouldn’t have beaten us even without Dom’s career high game. The contrarian doom/gloom is silly.

If one of the starters isn't producing on any given night, Scott has no problem subbing early for her. And if the sub is getting it done, she gets a lot of minutes. Dom is an excellent example of that

Agree and actually EW was lucky to only lose by 22----I mean how many times will we see TVO and Lily go a combined 2-11 from the field and 1-5 from 3!

She is making the moves you describe but it is rare. Watch how she will get a smaller player on her and move through the key wanting the ball but the ball never comes. I can't tell if they are so intent on running a play they don't think to give her the ball; they don't see it develop (I doubt that) or they are deliberately avoiding it until it's needed. The action I am talking about happens several times during a game. I have stated elsewhere that Timea has potential to be one of the best power forwards in the game. She has mid-range game, 3-point range, Free Throw accuracy, rebounds with great strength and determination, runs the court with speed and under control. Mentors the freshmen when they sub in, has mentored Lily many times in game. Those quick lay-ups against EWU demonstrated her instinctive skills regarding, where she is at on the court and whether or not she needs to use the left hand. Sorry Timea has impressed me from the start and yada yada yada.

Sorry Timea has impressed me from the start and yada yada yada. Well, of course she's impressive. She was a top recruit. She has all the natural talent and she's started to show it more this season after last year's injury set her back. I'm not sure about her not getting the ball in the offense. It no doubt happens on occasion but the offense runs through Beers for obvious reasons. And Timea has put up 283 shots this season to TVO's 289 and Beers' 305. I guess my expectations would be a little higher than 11.2 points a game for her if she were in her normal sophomore season. She's already an accomplished rebounder. So I'm hoping for a significant upswing as a scorer but I think she does need to work on her game to ensure a good shot at making that upswing.
