Keeler .341 Maranville .258 Both very small men. Keeler is personally responsible for the rule change that a bunted foul ball with two strikes being a K. He could stay at bat forever doing that.

They all flirted during some point in the season but only Brett maintained the pace through the season's end. Boggs went well into the year but tailed off in the stretch. What do you have on Wee Willie Keeler and Rabbit Maranville? They were disciplined hitters. I totally agree with you on plate discipline. Swing at strikes, stay away from swinging at spin if at all possible. Watch the K box during an MLB game and it's absolutely unbelievable how many batters either strike out or get themselves out by swinging at pitches outside the strike zone. Often the pitcher does not throw what would be a called strike in the entire at-bat.
