Late to the party, as usual. Wondered about ticket availability--are most games sold out? Seriously considered going last year but life overtook us. Assume hotels want multiple days reservations without refunds and airfares increase. Any insight is appreciated.

I went to 3 games last year, and had no problem walking up and purchasing tickets.

It's an MLB-sized spring training park (It's the Rangers & Royals home spring training park, with their games beginning 2/22). Only occasionally are there lines of longer than 5 minutes at ticket window. Tickets are very reasonably priced. Best feature is that if we luck out and it's hot, there's plenty of shady GA seating.....and if it's cool, there's plenty of GA sun seating. And there are no Beaver late day/Evening games. Enjoy! p.s. we camp at nearby White Tank Regional Park (100% booked at this point, but overflow is typically available) - so I have no info on Hotels.

Still rooms right next to the stadium. Spendy at $300 per, but damn convenient.
Still saw Thursday-late Monday flight, car, hotel for as low as $1700
And, as I've posted before... Westgate (Glendale) has several hotels cheaper than Surprise. Only 15 min from the stadium.

Slept in my car and rented the back seat to a homeless guy. Went to a local Costco and just ate samples for each meal. Had won the full schedule pass - so the tix cost me zero. Actually made $40 bucks on the trip !

Actually made $40 bucks on the trip ! No way... first, homeless guy had $40? Second, gas and cleaning the back seat... no way you broke even? PS- did you park at the team hotel?

Surprise Stadium seats 10,500. There will be no more than 2000 to 2500 at any given game.

Is there an All Series pass you can buy? Maybe save some time in ticket line every day. Ohh, most importantly...what is the beer situation? BYOB? Don't ask Don't tell? 12.50 for an 8 oz pour of Corona Light?

Great deal for every game. There is security, not real strict as I hid flasks for my diet and Jack. But do not remember beer being crazy expensive.... someone here will know, but seems like $8.50/9.50 for a 16oz??? You can bring in food from the outside in clear sealed container as long as it is smaller enough to fit under a stadium seat. No beverages other than single serve juice box and sealed water bottles (1L)... or empty water bottles.

Don't ask Don't tell? 12.50 for an 8 oz pour of Corona Light? All series passes are available, but I only attend OSU games, so I don't buy. Ticket lines are tolerable....you can buy tickets for upcoming games when you buy your tickets for the 1st game. Come an hour before game-time and enjoy watching the 2020 Beavs warming up. A favorite is to stand directly above the bullpen and look down about 20 feet at the OSU starter warming up. I was searched (by volunteers) upon each entry. Was not allowed to bring in empty insulated metal drinking vessel...so opted for Sili-pint (empty). I use the Silipint on the outside of the cup that comes with the beer at concession stand to keep it cooler, longer. As far as beer selection, it's far from measuring up to 'State of Oregon' standards, but as I recall it was a bit better in 2019 than it was in 2018. It's a bit pricey...but reasonable for a baseball stadium. It is served in PINT cups ... Lines are short...easy to watch action as you wait for your brew. After game we always beat it over to State 48 brewery/restaurant (less than a mile away), where invariably there's plenty of Orange and Black scattered about.

The beer guys told me that they sell different beer for college and MLB. It had to do with sponsorship, that is why we got a few craft beer choices.
I love being able to sit right behind the plate and eavesdrop on the scouts, or right by the on deck circle and exchange pleasantries with the players.

Yes -- the difference between college BB selection and MLB beer selection !!............Drives me nuts Each year those scrumptious. tantalizing MLB beer stands are parked just to the southwest of the 3rd base side Beaver Fan seating area, under wraps. Ready to spring into action with their (almost) Oregon standard beer selection to slake the thirst of the Royals and Rangers fandom. The scout thing is pretty cool. In fact it's a great baseball park for roaming and enjoying. I usually head over to the first base side for a few innings so as to rub elbows with the friendly folks from the visiting team. Going to really miss those jovial fans from Nebraska in 2020.

My buddy and got our flight set up and we’re staying at his folks’ house in Surprise. I read a couple of months ago that the general tourney pass was $50. I’m really pumped to get to the sun and get an early peek at the latest version of Beaver baseball and the first four games of what I hope is a long and very successful career in our dugout for MC.

Sr was 55+ for the $40 pass. Might not get as much heat/sun as some expect, but far more than here in mid February!
