Fehmel will go tonight, no doubt. Hopefully he'll be hitting his spots-- if he does, I like our chances.
For tomorrow's finale, IMO Bailey/Yeskie will have to break the mold for a Sunday win. If Chamberlain and Eisert are rested, go with 'em. They're both capable of giving us 3-5 innings of quality pitching and assuming that Mulholland's available to finish, the game will, at the very least, be much closer than Friday's drubbing.
I was not especially surprised by the 8-0 loss Friday night. Neither Gambrell nor Twedt are, as yet, up to giving us quality Friday night (or Sunday) PAC12 starts. They might well come around yet, but until then the coaches need to be at least somewhat innovative with regards to Sunday pitching.
Finally, we obviously need Abel healthy ASAP. And, for gosh sake's, we can hit much better than we have lately. DO IT!
