Not about NET, but couldn't find a better place to post this. Over the weekend I saw someone's attempt to project the NIT field. I can't remember where I saw it or who did it, so take it with a grain of salt. They had the Beavers as a 3 seed, and 5 total from PAC-12 in the field. I believe they made the assumption ASU would get into the Big Dance, because they weren't in the projected NIT field. Here's an NIT projection with OSU as a 2 seed and 7 PAC 12 teams in the field nicktursisbestbracketperiod.weebly.com/ And here's one with OSU as a 4 seed and 5 PAC 12 teams in the field jasonwellsbracketology.wordpress.com/

That puts Oregon State squarely on the bubble, the eighth team out. DRATINGS.COM has Oregon State as a four-seed, and the Beavers as the only team in the Pac-12 to make the NIT. DRATINGS.COM rates the Beavers as the 13th team out of the Tournament, five spots away from being "on the bubble." The Beavers are probably a 2-0 weekend away from being squarely on the bubble in most projections, especially with second place in the Pac-12 potentially on the line against Arizona State on Sunday.

I think the Beavs are at best 4-0 finish in regular season away from being squarely on the bubble. That would give them a quadrant 1 win (Wash), which might end up being their only 1 because if Oregon falls in NET rankings one more spot the road victory against them drops down to a quad 2 win; two more quad 2 wins and 1 more quad 3 win. Even with that I just don't see the Beavs making the tourney short of winning conf. tourney unless they end up in finals and everything breaks right for the Beavers with all the other conference tournaments. Even with a loss against the Beavs and finishing one spot behind Beavs in standings, if ASU finishes out regular season 2-1 they still have a better resume than the Beavs heading into conf. tourney. They have home wins against Kansas and Wash., and neutral site wins against Miss. St. and Utah St. Hope I'm wrong.
